  • Nice functional little slug box puzzle game. My brain is really small, so I wasn't able to complete it. But youve got a solid base here. I like the gimmick with the trail. Introducing more visual variety and elements to puzzles would help you grow it.

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
Puzzle game inspired by sokoban and flow puzzle games. You play as a slug who spreads a deadly slime trail behind him. You must solve puzzles without crossing over your own deadly trail. Trails can be cleared away by pushing boxes over them.

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

This was a really fun play. The controls were very intuitive (obviously it's WASD only) and it didn't take that long to figure out that I couldn't go back on myself, which was a really interesting puzzle mechanic that made me really think about what I was doing. Also the art and music were great.

I think you should definitely keep working on this, one piece of advice I'd give is combine the flow aspect with the maze puzzle, so that you have to combine all the crystals before exiting. I think that would make for a very interesting set of puzzles.

Great submission, executed really well!

Cool game, I'm not a fan of puzzle games, but this is well made! It was a bit confusing at the start, but then I realized what I needed to do and had fun with it

Enjoyable puzzle game. Neat music and good interpretation of the theme! Man the room with a lot of crystals really stumped me! Well done!

Art and music was on point, I really enjoyed your interpretation of the theme. In terms of level design I think the wide open levels were a bit intimidating, and personally I enjoyed the more compact levels more. But the game overall was fun to play. When you hit me with the crystal connecting thing, I was like WOW! That part of the game was super fun. In a post jam build I would add an undo button and maybe even a level select, that way if you get stuck on one level you can leap frog to the next. Really great entry!

The levels I enjoyed most were the smaller more compact levels. The mazes felt a little too long for the puzzle that needed to be figured out. Was positively suprised by the introduction of the crystal slime, but thought it could have been integrated into the already established game loop a bit better (almost felt like 2 different games when the puzzles shifted from block puzzles to matching the colours. Maybe in a full release the crystal slime could act as a switch to unlock doors? Overall enjoyable game with a lot of potential. Check out our game, we went with a similar but opposite mechanics where the slime trail provides area you can move across freely :)

Thanks for checking out my game and I really appreciate the feedback! Yeah I definitely could have done a better job of meshing the different mechanics together. Will definitely check yours out soon!
