Summarise your game!
Fragile is a point-and-click adventure game immersing players into the shattered lives of a group of college students coming to an end, as each go their separate ways after their school year ends.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The game explores the concept of "words" being used as weapons, and how the use of words leads to an irreversible association of those words to the identity and memory of a person. It also explores the different usage of words as weapons for different purposes: to harm or protect those who wield them or others around them, or to be used as threats for selfish and selfless gains.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
The crux of this game is its narrative but we've put special attention to detail. Every tiny thing matters to the overall design and story on multiple layers, so we'd appreciate it if you can spot them and their meaning. Thank you!

This is one of my absolute favorite games from the jam, everything is incredibly well done from the art, story, and attention to detail. Aside from just a couple typos, and getting stuck fairly early on (skill issue on my part), my real criticism has already been pointed out (the transitions and text are a bit slow overall).
I was expecting the game to be pretty short for how polished it is, but I was pleasantly surprised that it’s a fairly long, cohesive narrative. Amazing stuff.
Thanks, we're glad it's your favorite game from the jam! Thanks for the feedback of the game feel also, looking back + other similar feedback it is indeed slow, and we will take note on this for our future project!
And we're glad our hard work paid off by just looking at comments like this! Thank you so much for commenting!!
lovely game. each footstep sounded like a slow heartbeat. i was holding my breath each time i entered a room, waiting to see what happened. well done!
tysm!!!! I'm glad the footstep sound added so much feel into the game!
Wow this is so good, love the art style, love the sound, love that it really make me want to know more about the story, what happened to the group, why is it suddenly turning so suddenly, oh I want to know. I think this game really has the potential to be a much larger game, with that mysterious and slightly intriguing narrative, it surely makes a good premise to be a good visual novel or choice matter game! Good job!
Only criticism from me now is that the game is a bit slow when not talking. Things like text speed, skipping text by just pressing (not only on the dialog box), movement between rooms, etc would ideally make the game feels more snappy and reactive. Hopefully that would not make the game too short though.
Anyway, well done to you all!
Thanks for checking out our game! The whole narrative idea being like that you gotta thank OperatorPrime for it! Also thank you for the feedback about the overall game-feel being slow, we'll make sure to adjust it on our future projects.
Thank you so much!
Great visuals, the game is very visually cohesive and really drew me in even tho i don't really play games like this. Right now you can only skip the text typewriter effect by clicking in the text box. Would be nice if you could skip the effect by clicking anywhere. Really good job!
Thanks for checking out our game. I'll def take that in as a note for future games!
Very very fascinating. I always love a game that oozes personal meaning in it. I wish I could find out what happened to cause this rift. But sometimes it's too late
We're glad that you found it fascinating. From the beginning we aimed to fill the project with our own experiences, but in the end it is indeed too late, and the best thing we could do is to move on. Thanks for checking out our game!
Just an amazing game. Not sure what to say other than just fantastic job. Great writing, art and music at the end. Just incredible work.
10/0!
ty for checking out our games, we appreciated it!!
Amazing game, keep the good work <3
ty <3, good submission on your part also
Very interesting take on the theme. It's very hard to see loved ones struggling and feeling like you can't do a thing, or even that you yourself contributed to that situation with the wrong words at the wrong time. I think you were able to encapsulate that feeling very well! Also, the sound effects are super satisfying omg.
haha tysm, we have a guy named shellschutz to handle all the audio for this game, props to him and we're glad that you enjoy the game!
I love that this game is so different from any of the game jam submissions. Was a really fun playthrough!
tysm for checking out our game we hope you enjoy it <3
