The game leans into chaos by having weird movement and navigation controls. The game also progressively gets harder the longer you survive.

I really liked the UI, as mentioned in the previous review, but I found the game a bit confusing at first, since I wasn’t sure what to do until I read the page.

Wobble Mania

Incredibly fun and addicting game made by only a team of two developers!

MENU: Simple menu the helps to communicate the wacky absurdist design of the game.

ART: Very intuitive despite being so strange and otherworldly, like a familiar dream.

AUDIO: fun wacky audio that perfectly matches the theme of the game!

GAMEPLAY LOOP: ADDICTING. ADDICTING. ADDICTING. I love the Wobble Mania. Although the controls are difficult to maneuver at first (a learning curve quickly overcome after a few play throughs) the wacky fun of scoring and battling strange entities is so addicting.

Written Review

Wobble Mania is an Absurdist scoring game in which the player is driving a broken-controlled vehicle that slips and slides like it’s on ice and fires towards a goal post which enemies try to stop you.

For a period of time I worked at a small Arcade in the middle of nowhere, that was owned by a man who practiced the occult in his free time. There was a collection of many classic and otherworldly cabinet games, from House of the Dead, to “Turtle”, to some weird game where you had to roll a ball around angles and terrain to score. This game would 100 percent fit a classic arcade cabinet game and become a bestseller, eating up quarters and being a load of fun for both players and watching passerbys.

 The player, a black pawn piloting a D O O H I C K Y, is tasked with using its large T U B A energy catapult to launch a  C U B E into the upside down Torii Gate while many  E N T I T I E S  try to prevent you from completing your goal. Stuck on a floating island, in a battle to the death, you give your life to score more points that benefit no one. Watch out for classic enemies like S A T T E L I T E H E A D  and other favorites like A R R O W B I R D

This game reminds me of a dream I had when I was homeless and sleeping in the Raisin’ Canes parking lot of a small California town in my 2014 Honda Pilot. Because of that nostalgia alone, I have to give this game a REALLY HIGH rating. FULL SCORE ALL AROUND. Somehow, somewhere, we’ve connected on deep frequencies where the past becomes the present becomes the future and glimpsed into each other’s spirits and this game is evidence in support of that. We are one and the same, brother.

Ways To Improve Game

Add different shapes to score with, and a way to temporarily disable a group of enemies since they cluster so easily.

Developer
