Description
The game would be a puzzle game set underwater in the child's (Aiko's) mind. The first track "Aiko's Theme" would play at the beginning of the game in the intro cutscene and would be a recurring motif. "The Depths" is background music for one of the levels where she ventures into a secluded cavern. Finally, "Child of Love" (which is the meaning of Aiko in Japanese) would play at the climax of the story where Aiko reunites with her long lost family.
I used Reaper with my plugins being mainly Vital, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and a music box Kontakt instrument I found on Pianobook.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
The story is based around the picture, taking place in an underwater world in the girl's head.

I liked the use of the music box like IndieKev said. The way it's played feels very raw and natural which was cool to hear. My favorite track is The Depths. The water drips and overall atmospheric vibe of the track work well for what the track is intended for which is for exploration.
Overall, this was a very solid submission. Keep it up!
I'm a sucker for that music box. The whole OST is really something special, I really enjoyed it!
I really like the cover art! I can't tell if it is a drawing or a picture which is really cool! My guess is drawing but the pencil makes me skeptical of that.
EEEEE MUSIC BOX TIME!
Aiko's Theme - Hey, a great mix of music box and orchestral instruments! However, the box is a little loud :_)
The Depths - it seems that we have plunged into someone's consciousness, where there is a lot of water, submarines, bubbles and blue pencils
Child Of Love - Juhu! The child got the love he wanted!
In general, it is very nice and beautiful) The only thing I can advise (If I have the right to do it at all, heh) this is to try to diversify the melodies a little bit and ... basically everything. Good job!
P.S. I like the simplicity of the cover art. This gives the overall soundtrack some "charm"
Hi there! I like the direction of this project, though I feel that the music box is a tad too loud in comparison to the rest of the instruments. Keep it up!
I like the simplicity and whimsical nature of the track, really fits the child like wonder of the protagonist and the soundtrack, great work on the cover art and the soundtrack as well
I think you nailed portraying the protagonist being a child with Aiko's theme. Child of Love was a great listen as well. Good work!
Great tracks and I really like the music box in Aiko's Theme! Gave it a very unique feel. Very good work and good luck!
Great collection of tracks. The composition and instrumentation fit the theme really well, and manage to strike a balance of being able to fit in a game while being interesting in its own right. The use of the music box leitmotif is very clever as well.
I like the simplicity of Aiko's Theme, as well as the through line of the music box coming back to help tie the songs together! I love the unnerving feel of The Depths as well. I overall like your ideas, but wish there was a little bit more of a rich instrumentation to help really sell your ideas even more, for example: I really like the orchestral elements in Child of Love, and given the triumphant nature of the song including some more of the orchestra to help make the cool harmonies you have sound even more rich. I think you are absolutely on the right track with this and should be proud!!
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! Definitely agree about the instrumentation in Child of Love, arranging for orchestra is something I want to improve on. I listened to your soundtrack and I love it, really interesting melodies and harmonies :)
Thank you!!
I love how the track Child of Love ties back to the track of Aiko's Theme by using similar instrumentation and melodic structure.
Also the ambience of The Depths is very nice, I love the effects the dripstones give off!
Thanks so much!
