Description
This electronic ambient soundtrack follows a small girl as she explores her imaginary world collecting fish and memory bubbles.
Some of the memory bubbles are sad and some are happy, but she doesn't know until she collects them.
GirlTheme represents the girl, her mixed feelings and the expanse of her imagination. This track was composed around the Girl motif which is used throughout the soundtrack. I aimed for complimentary texture around in an attempt to break it from reality and into imagination. Distance and melancholy. I didn't want it to be sad but also not explicitly happy.
Exploration brings some child like wonder to the mix with added hopefulness. She will find fish and memories, and she is determined. My main goal with this track was to give the wonder and joy of seeing new things. It had also been broken away from a solid grounding to try and convey imagination.
HappyMemory is the warm fuzzy nostalgia that washes over her when she finds a Happy Memory bubble. Cosy, comfy.
This track was mostly built around the arpeggio that is throughout the track. The textures were built to feel just out of reach and floaty, giving that "memory" feeling.
Sad Memory. Oh no! It'll be okay, there are always lessons to take away from our memories!
This track is built to feel more grounded and less far away. Taking the main theme of Girl and manipulating it for a darker feeling. The textures in the background also threaten to shatter the illusion. The imagination

Theme
How does it fit the theme?
I believe it fits the theme by incorporating the small girl and incorporating everything around her in the image as part of her imagination. When people are using their imagination and/or daydreaming, this would be them being inside their world or from their point of view - Inside my world

HELP THE POOR CHILD IS TRAPPED IN A BIG BUBBLE
Good ambient. I liked it!
- I love the noise in GirlTheme!
- The bending in Exploration is wild but works so well
Overall I absolutely love this - you've created something really cohesive, that nonetheless contains variety and different emotions across the tracks. The mixing is absolutely fabulous! And the instruments are so cool!
Creative soundtrack, interesting choice of instruments and effects. It really manages to create a dreamy and weird atmosphere. Good job!
I loved the many pitch bends, they added a lot of color! Good submission overall!
Nice use of different textures, reverb and delays to create atmosphere and ambeince. I think it fits the dreamy image nicely. If I could give one bit of feedback it would be to add a bit of a fadeout at the end of the first three tracks so they end a bit more "gently".
I liked the distortion on most of the tracks giving it a memory feel i think. I thought it was strange how abruptly happy memory ended though.
I think you really encapsulated the feeling of dreaminess and surrealism well here, especially through your creative use of the synths and messing around with their tuning and vibrato!
This has such a unique vibe and I'm all hear for it. The ambience of GirlTheme is great and the wacky warbley Exploration complemented it so nicely. The sound design is great and I really dig the synths and sound choices.
Sad Memory did feel a little muddy to me with the droning bass, but that's really the only issue I had. Great work!
Nice ambience in GirlTheme, though I my takeaway is that there wasn't much of an established melody to describe as a theme. Also, the popping sounds (almost sound like footsteps at some point?) in the background feel a bit out of place. If you were intending them as a texture in the song, I would have brought them more to the front of the mix.
Exploration - The pitch bends create some nice tension between the rest of the song, but the execution sounds a little rough, imo. Try steepening the curves on your pitch bends and adding some flatness in the middle. In most cases, they will sound better when they spend less time in subharmonic areas and more time on semitones. [think of a U instead of a V]
There are some interesting textures in HappyMemory, the synth doing arpeggios speaks to the title of the track well.
The sort of static background noise in SadMemory does a great job of creating that feeling of unease. Nice chord progression here as well.
Overall, nice work!
The background noise in GirlTheme is some great earcandy and the arpeggios in HappyMemory fit the theme perfectly! I love the ambience in SadMemory, but with the context of the previous tracks, I wonder if it's too dark? Cool soundtrack overall!
Love this! Especially GirlTheme. It's giving mysterious and cinematic vibes. Good stuff!
