Description
Starcrossed is the OST to a space RPG game. A love story and an epic galactic adventure told with music inspired by classic Progressive Rock albums and by JRPG music. I used FL Studio 12 to compose every song, and although it mostly uses VST'S, the OST has prominent electric guitar parts which i played, as well as a friend's contribution on bass.
Track 1 and 2 are the theme songs for the main characters: Eileen (a joyful creative girl who likes imagining her own galaxies) and Lily (A serene girl who takes care of a garden)
Track 3 plays during a cutscene where we see the dream they both have
Track 4 is Hackett (The deer creature who creates life across the universe) song, and plays where he explains that he needs the girls help to fight the Shadow Beings (The Villains)
Track 5 and 6 are the Shadow Beings theme song and battle song
Track 7 is the game over song.
Track 8 plays during a cutscene on which the characters travel across space
Track 9 and 10 are simple planet songs
Track 11 plays when the girls begin fall in love with each other.
Track 12 is another planet song
Track 13 is a boss battle song against the machines who create the Shadow Beings
Track 14 plays during a scene where Lily (The deuteragonist) starts behaving differently.
Track 15 plays in the planet Awakia after the girls free them from the machines
Track 16 is the battle song against a Lily fully corrupted by the remainders of the Shadow Beings.
Track 17 plays after the battle is finally over, but Lily and Eileen must take separate ways after Hackett's mission is over.
Track 18 sounds when Eileen is on the island Hackett promised her, but she misses Lily.
Track 19 is when Eileen, with the help of the game's secondary characters, travels to Lily's island
Track 20 plays when Eileen searches across Lily's island to find her again.
Track 21 is when they both find each other again but are taken to another dimension with Hackett, who's in his full form. He reveals that the whole adventure was a test for the girls to make them fall in love with each other and prove that no matter what they would prioritize being together always, with the hope that they could take his place as the Universe life creators. They accept.
Track 22 plays in one final cutscene when the girls take Hackett's powers and they are together, bringing their love to the universe from then on.

Do keep in mind that this story was not thought much and it may have some plot holes but i wanted to make something heartwarming to make music for.
I hope the soundtrack is good and that you enjoy it!

Message from the artist:
I hope this soundtrack speaks to you somehow and that it makes you happy! (And maybe headbang in 7/8 as well)

Theme

Panspermia (Πανσπερμία)

How does it fit the theme?
Hackett the Deer creates all life throughout the universe (Some of them we meet during the game across different planets) Eventually, the girl protagonists take his powers and they start creating and sending life across all galaxies.

I absolutely love the sound pallette you used here.  There are some interesting synths.  I also love your use of different meters, particularly 7/4, throughout this soundtrack.  Very impressive!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I am SOOO into this story you created.

All the songs fit perfectly with the descriptions and I even felt a bit emotional at the end of the OST.

The girls' theme songs represent their characters perfectly;
"Holding Hands" is incredibly sweet,
"Lost City of Awakia" is a bop!!
"Still Life on my Island" is heartbreaking,
"Looking for You" fit's perfectly and
"We Were Meant to be Here" is an amazing closure/ending song.

Very high production quality. It's noticeable the love that was put into this, I feel like every detail had it's purpose.

Such a great submission! Definitely one of my favorites so far.

Also, while I was listening, I imagined the girls and made a little sketch for fun ~

You really went and made a whole game OST, this is so impressive!!!! I love that the concept of the game features two girls falling in love, as it still seems fairly rare (at least in my experience) to see LGBT romance in games - so kudos for that. Overall I really liked the soundtrack, it feels like it could be featured in an actual game. All the descriptions fit really well with the mood and pace of the tracks, which demonstrates your range as a composer. My only "complain" is that I would have liked to hear more textures in the instruments used, some out-of-the-box effects to complement the great compositions - but this is also down to personal taste. Anyway, great job and congrats on making a whole album in such short time!

I also forgot to mention that the beginning of Inorganic Hazard made me think of Metal Crusher from Undertale hehe

Yeah, I'm sorry to everyone else, as a dedicated Yes and Genesis fan, this is my fav entry so far. I really like the space around the mallets and the guitar (is that just a stock reverb?), very tasteful. Even getting some classic Chick Corea/Stanley Clarke vibes in Hackett's theme.

AND it all sounds really good. Well rounded, fits together. Great job!

Sounds great! Only complaint is that there are just so many tracks

Glad you like it! The whole soundtrack works best if you find the time to sit down and follow the story. It might look like there's a lot of songs but it's only 30 minutes in total. But thank you!

Wow, it's a really good soundtrack. Outstanding quality. I appreciate the composition. For me it's maybe a bit too long, because I don't have time to hear everything very closely, but what I've heard is impressive. Good job! :o

Absolutely outstanding. Lost City of Awakia is my current favorite, that opening is just so engrossing. The sheer amount of tracks is daunting- but they're also quite beautiful. The variation is elegant and the songs flow well. Ursa Major Damage is a HILARIOUS track name. You've got to be incredibly proud, every song in the rar just oozes quality.
