Wow.
When I saw some other entries I thought I'll be happy if it makes into javid9x video, but Pyomm actually won ?!?!?
Now I feel guilty for not polishing it up some more :)
Thanks to everyone who voted!
Good puzzle game! If you were to develop it further, having a few extra conditions and flow control commands to work with might allow for some more complex layouts, though it would also increase the complexity of the system - but that could be mitigated if it's introduced right.
Thanks.
Yeah. There is potential for more complex levels even with current set of commands and conditions. For example, recursion. A concept which already works because of the way the 'CPU' it is implemented, but I haven't even touched it in level design. When combined with 'paint' commands and conditions, it is possible to create very interesting levels.
Since I got lots of positive feedback (not only from you on itch.io), I'll probably develop this further.
This is really good. The programming interface is easy to use, and the colour mechanics provide for some interesting puzzles. Nice work on the submission!
This was neat and fit the theme real well. If you ever want to develop this a little further, I feel like there could be a scoring system that awards higher ratings for solving puzzles with fewer instructions.
Excellent and fun game.
I really like the idea behing this game and I've enjoyed playing it.
Loved how it feels like you are programming an actual robot.
Yeah, this reminds me a little bit of what it was like to program simple line follower robots in LabView.
Hey,
looks definetly nice.
At first i thought about adding a similar system to my game, but i thought it was too time consuming for now.
I have few comfort suggestions though:
- i think it would be nice, if you enter a command, it automaticly jumps to the next line ( at least if it was entered via mouseclick).
- the game seems not to be downloadable from the itch.io client.
it works from the browser, but on the client it does say something of "cannot read build of undefined" , maybe the client does not support .7z ?
Thanks. I wasn't even aware it can work in browser :)
I'll reupload it as a zip tomorrow and try to address a few issues, including your suggestion before deadline.
Now it also works from the itch client, thanks.
