HOW DO YOU DO IT? What's your secret man?

This starts out like one of those samurai-themes. Do they typically use pentatonic scales, is that why it works out so well? Or is it just the good old Selkione magic making it work?

And of course you manage to turn it into a heart-racing beat-dropping banger xD. It is great, starting soft and simple (yet awesome), and slowly getting higher-paced and complicated (yet awesome).

But damn, 0:43 - 0:60... I am convinced it is just 4/4 but it sounds so wacky to me because of that off-beat stuff going on. Yet (obviously, why not) you manage to make even that confusion sound good.

What more is there to say? Oh, I know! "it's too short (as it often is)."
Nice song ;)

This is really good, the riff played on the flute 42secs in sounds amazing and it has like a nice grit to it that pushes the song forward really well to bring in the next section.

I also respect how well you did keeping the style of the music as cultural/traditional as possible whilst also adding in your own electronic ideas to the song. Well done!

Thanks for those compliments.

Keeping the traditional sound in the electro section was a real challenge. I’m sincerely glad you noticed the difficulty.

5 stars of 5 to all. The transition between classic jap to electro jap was sweet and clean. The use of the limitation is perfect, and using something like classic japan was a thing that never goes through my head (sorry my English, still learning)

Oh, 5 stars ! Thank you very much for your rating :)

I’m happy that you enjoyed my Japanese composition. It’s the first time I try this kind of music.

(I’m not fluent in English so for me, yours is very understandable)

For Jam #8, Really liked what you were going for with the combination of synths and Asian string instruments. I feel like the sound design and mixing could be a bit better, but overall solid work.

Thank you :)

I always struggle when mixing, After hearing the same thing in loop and I can’t tell what is too loud, what is to wide, what is too muddy…

If you could tell me what you heard, I’m really interested.
