Well, it's really pretty and the music is really great ! But it's not really a game for me, you have no interaction...

Pros

  • Fantastic aesthetics! Amazing pixel art! The portraits looked incredible!
  • Beautiful music, I loved it! Very fitting!
  • I think the magical realism theme was implemented well, good job on that!
  • The plot has a lot of potential and it leaves you wanting to know more.

Cons

  • The length of the game. I understand this is a demo, so this isn't really a con though.

Overall: this has a lot of potential! Amazing music, visuals and a very promising story! I hope you continue working on it, as it would be amazing to play the full game and know more about the plot. Great work!

The art direction is really good and the premise of the story got me hooked, but I don't think this is a game since it can be 0% interactable, it's easily fixable by making it point and click or branching dialogues or something, hopefuly you do decide to expand on it because it looks very interesting and shows a ton of potential

Aw man, I wish it were longer! Like, 2 more paper stars, please! Music was on point, the art is nice though implemented a touch awkwardly(absolutely forgivable, given the strength of your writing), and the concept is intriguing. But it's not done! XD Great job, though!

I love it! Short and sweet but very captivating.

The art is really nice and nostalgic; plus the color palette is really nice! It blends in really nicely with the music and story that has that 80s/90s touch to it.

I think the biggest thing that would've been nice is having to click around the environment to search; maybe even have Celeste walk to where you click in the area. It'd add the little extra bit of interactivity. But other than that it's really nice!

Great start here! I'm intrigued by the story and hope to someday find out what happens to Celeste and Orion! There are a few places where I have to click an extra time, probably a Ren'Py issue, but other than that play is straightforward. Graphics and sound are nice, gives a real throwback vibe that I like a lot!

I immediately liked the  old MS-DOS feel of the graphics and music. The environment looks good, the color palette fits the mood well, and the facial expressions of the characters are great !

The story is really intriguing - I like the mystery that is begging to be solved. And ohh, I love  stories in which protagonists  are  on the run from  powerful enemies , so I'm   definitely curious where this is going!

The game looks like it fits the themes really well.   I'm not an expert on magical realism, but from what I know it's checking all the important boxes. Memories are definitely included. The space theme is used a bit loosely so far, but there are enough hints that  can be read as the path leading there eventually. And the use of the pizza theme had me bursting into laughter - brilliant!  I'd love to see more  bits of humor like that.

The controls are straightforward to use. The only thing that  confused me was that I did not need to actually click around to search the environment, but was automatically taken through the interaction   just by pressing the space bar. Maybe that's because it's still a demo ?

I really enjoyed this demo, and I'd love to play the finished game later!
