It ended up looking so good! I know you wanted to add even more houses but the one you finished already has so much detail and the filter really makes the PS1 look shine! I'm glad you still shared it and if you are deciding to keep working on it I'll be happy to play the finished game.

At least I had time to put the pizza in, so I can't be too sad.

Considering the short time and you being sick, I'm BLOWN AWAY with how good this looks! I mean you've got the tilt with the steps and everything. Graphics are great... love that Steve looks the same from the front and back so it looks like he's following you... and all the details in the room! Plus there's pizza!

Great start so far. Would love to see this game developed further!

Also, idk if this was a bug but for development purposes, I'ma just mention that the mini hallway where there's shelves with red and blue cans is a bit problematic. It would mess with my controls every time I tried to walk past or into that area. Once I even got stuck in a wall.  But aside from that, no bugs to be seen which is, once again REALLY impressive given the circumstances for this jam!

Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your kind words. Honestly I have no idea why that particular bug happens and I had to give up trying to fix it. For some reason the camera shifts a little bit off center on startup, but only sometimes. Coding is stress-inducing and endlessly frustrating a wonderful thing.

To bad the game was so short. i looked around for a while pressing "e" on everything.

I would love to see more !

My bad, I should have specified when the game was 'over'. At least you really got to take in the environment! Not to mention the pizza!

I liked the art style/filter and the concept, very intriguing vibe. The players shadow was a nice subtle touch too!

Developer

Maybe if I didn't spend time working on subtle details (like the car registration plate spelling out 'ketchup' if you translate the numbers to letters) I'd have an actual finished game!

I'm not sure if there was anything else to do after talking to Steve (I couldn't find anything else to interact with). But I think you have a great start here, with an interesting visual style and an overall vibe that things are not as they seem. Looking forward to seeing where you take it!

Nope, that's all there is to it. Unfortunately sickness got me good, but I wanted to share my unfinished project, anyway. If nothing else, at least others can feel better if they also didn't finish! Definitely going to finish this one, though!
