July 17 (T Minus Three Days Until Startup)
Welp! It's three days until the start of the Game Jam, I have my GameMaker installed, my MS Paint at the ready, and absolutely no experience whatsoever! The community is really nice, and I feel like this will be a good experience!
Gushing aside, my vague idea for a game is someone wakes up from a bad dream and their significant other goes to collect their favorite things in order to calm them down and make them happy before the sun comes up. It's a start, and I feel like I can build on this idea!
GameMaker is really easy in my opinion, and I decided to follow a tutorial for superultramega beginners, and hey! I did it! Collision and everything! Sure it looks like a tv threw up, but that can always be fixed later! I'm just grateful that it worked at all...
