I will echo the others’ sentiment that it is a fun idea! I liked the animation of the pigs - they looked so happy :)

Pretty fun idea for the game; the need to watch the pigs and farm at the same time is nice and keeps you on your toes.

The audio levels are a little unbalanced. The hitbox for the rake isn't immediately obvious, maybe there could be a marker or highlight for which crops it will hit?

I sort of ran out of time and didn’t really spend any time balancing the audio levels, that’s definitely something I will keep in mind for the next game.

The marker is a great idea! If I expand on this game I will definitely try that out for sure.

Really enjoyed playing it throughout! Wrangling the wolves and harvesting at the same time created a nice hectic gameplay loop!

The sound effects for tools and the doggies expiring is a nice touch, so you can clearly know it by not even looking there.

There is a small bug around double hitting wolves, and setting them back to “aggro” again.

Two things that kinda take a way from the full enjoyement: The inital really loud audio level. Please double test those before publishing games. The fact that the mouse is not locked into the windows can cause you to click outside of it. This comes up at every shop phase, so the small irritation and having to click after it (being locked in the animationas well) kinda adds up over time.

Neither of these is a dealbreaker, just things to keep in mind for the final polish before publishing a project! Gotta say again, enjoyed playing through and through! Well done!

Thanks so much for playing the game and giving detailed feedback! I was busy so I couldn’t properly watch the stream but I checked in for a moment and saw you got the hat! Nice one 😎

To address some of the issues: the mouse not locking after closing the shop really bothered me too and I tried basically everything to try and fix it, but it seems to be a limitation in Unreal Engine WebGL builds (the issue doesn’t happen on Windows, but I wanted to prioritise doing a WebGL build for now since that’s easiest for jam participants to play). I think if I do a post jam update I will do a build for Windows.

And you’re right, the wolf AI can be pretty janky for sure! 😆 Sorry about that.

As for the audio issue, this is something I hadn’t really thought about, so thank you for pointing that out! Next time I will set it lower and maybe include some control to set the volume level like other games in this jam did.

Fun game, I liked it a lot. Loved the cool hat, but by the time I got it I had no time for farming as there were constant wolves. I'm gonna try again and pick up the hat quickly this time.

Thanks, glad you liked it! Ah yeah, to be honest there may be some balancing issues as the game really only all came together a couple days before the deadline. In my opinion, if you got the hat, you’ve basically beaten the game since its the most expensive upgrade (and is so cool) 😆

Really solid foundation for a farming sim, which could be expanded on if the player had more control over the farm. Maybe the player could start with just the three wheat tiles, and use their money to expand the farm?

Also congrats on finishing a game in unreal. I don't use that engine personally (my pc would either gain sentience and murder me in my sleep or just explode on the spot if I tried), but I've heard a lot about how steep the initial learning curve is, and this is a fair amount to be able to make in spite of that.

Thanks a lot! It definitely took me a while to get my head around compared to Unity, but now I think it’s finally starting to click! Also, I’m using UE4 for the WebGL support (wouldn’t recommend it too much, I can see why they dropped the WebGL support…), so it’s not quite as demanding on my PC as UE5 would be :D
