Really solid small game, killer music, I managed to get up to 162.

Glad you enjoyed the music! I spent a good amount of the jam time on it and had a lot of fun with it.

Thanks for playing!

I like this game a lot! The visuals were basic but still solid. The audio was pretty good and I like the sliding player controller. Nice job.

Developer(+1)

Cool that you enjoyed the player controller! I made it intentionally a little "janky" and "slidey" so there is more challenge and engagement in ringing the doorbells.

Thanks for the nice comment!

This game is hella awesome! One of my favorite submissions. Felt really good as a snowballing push-your-luck game where every doorbell matters. The grief of missing the dong, but the joy of getting the perfect timed combo. Well done!

Those words make me smile! I'm glad you understood the mechanics since I saw some people play and not really understand it without me explaining. Your experience sounds exactly like how I intended the game to feel!

Thanks a lot for the kind words!

I wish this game were playable on mobile. I’m just lying on the couch with my dog and I really want to play it. Except the door bell sets him off…

Developer(+1)

Ahh, Do you have an android? I was actually already thinking of making an android port just to try out.  Since this game seems like something that would work on mobile. I think it's quite easy with godot.

I'll try to make the port after the voting period.

nah I’m on iPhone. But yeah just a suggestion, previous jams that I’ve done, a lot of players seem more likely to play if it’s mobile friendly and this seems very mobile friendly!

Developer(+1)

damn, I don't have an iPhone to test any builds unfortunately. I'm pretty sure adding buttons to the web version wouldn't support multitouch? (Which is needed of course for this game to work). Worth a try tho.

Good point about mobile friendly games being more approachable to players. Means they can try it out anywhere. Gotta remember that for my next game jam! (This was actually my first)

Love that you added a dog, would be cool to ring his doorbell as well :P nice game, good job!

Developer(+1)

We thought about adding a bird as well (since there's a birdhouse on one of the trees), but ran out of time. I thought about ringing the dogs doorbell, but I wanted it to be surprise when the dog suddenly pops out the doghouse.

Thanks for nice the comment!

Fantastic concept! The art style and gameplay are really nice, really enjoyed it when the dog joined in the chase! The score board to keep track of your score is a really nice touch too :)

Developer

Thanks for the kind words!

The dog was a last minute add but seems like it was worth it!

The scoreboard actually saves even if you refresh the webpage btw

Great concept, pranking as many doors as possible without getting caught. The dog running out from the dog house was a really nice detail!
I first thought you just held 'd' and timed with 'w' as you ran past the house, then on my second playthrough I noticed you could do it more times, a lot of fun! Great implementation of the special object.
I wish I could spam the doorbell even more times for comedic effect!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it!

Yeah I found it hard to make people understand how the main mechanic works exactly.

Now that I think of it I like the suggestion of being able to spam it. I did it this way to avoid just holding right and spamming the ring doorbell button like you said.  Maybe I'll put it so that Button down it plays "Ding" and button Up the "Dong" sound.  And then balance the game around that of course.

Thanks for the helpful and encouraging feedback!

Very comedic game about spamming peoples' door bells. It's quite fun to run forwards and try to time the door bells while avoiding the police. The game could of course use a bit of polish but no worries, I like the art style enough. The menu UI was a bit cluttered however and not super easy to understand at a first glance, Otherwise, solid entry!

Thank you for a valuable comment.  I was assigned to do background for the game and main menu. I think having a general Idea drawn out will make it easier to polish. I will try to set my priority right next time on my own or with others if I decide to make a game.
