A few problems of the game that you should fix 1) the player is too slow 2) the player often crashes into walls when trying to get into a narrow passage 3) it is not clear what the chests are for 4) the gameplay is too boring

kinda liked the pixel art.

Wasn't really fun, i didn't play long enough so maybe eh, i was missing something ig

Unfortunately we had to cut a lot of corners with this submission.  We're meaning to add everything that's meant to be there and polish it up in future updates after the jam's over.

i might revisit it

Loved the following:

  • Pixel art was fun to look at during the game.
  • Back story pulled me in instantly to playing your game.
  • Loved the doggo art
  • Controls were simple to understand once I found out what they were.

Consider the following:

  • Getting through doorways was difficult. I would keep colliding with the wall when trying to enter them.
  • The game page or the game does not have the controls listed. Please list them for the player.
  • Game seems incomplete, since some key gameplay elements are missing to complete the experience.
  • I would love to consider chest count in the upper corner. Without that, I eventually did not collect chests and just sought to find the one enemy instead.

More movespeed required but I loved the pixel art graphics.

No audio though?

Ah well, hopefully you learned a lot and can't wait to see more entries from you!

I think that more movespeed and more space to move would help a lot! Looking forward to where it is going!

Can see where it was going, but not really much to do. Biggest thing was movement speed, felt a bit sluggish trying to explore.

Not that bad! Would need a lot of polishing though. Movement could be faster. And when the weapon has its own collider that pushes the character may stress the player a bit. Overall, a good start!

Neat start of a game. Movement is a bit slow, no audio at all and a non-solvable game make for a bit of a slow experience. If there were more active enemies and possibly some more than just the one giving me a reason to use the gun it would be a bit more exciting.

Overall, worked well but no end as far as I could tell.

After we killed the one demon, there was nowhere else to go. I wandered around for a while and never found another door. We had a large key, and only found a couple small key doors and nothing else. I played for about five more minutes before calling it, so there may be a way through but it was not engaging enough to continue searching.

No, you're right.  There was only supposed to be one big key in the whole thing.  I think one of the small keys must have been swapped with a big key by mistake.  Makes it pretty much impossible to get to the last room.
