Incredible concept. I love the fact that you can't perfectly draw the map. I also just love the idea of a cartography game.
I don't think the map should be toggled. It should just be on screen as once. And movement of the ship (I assume) doesn't feel great. And the final image should be your map compared with the real one.
The biggest difficulty of making this game is creating a good scoring algorithm because 1 to 1 real map vs. player's drawn map wouldn't work well with stuff like shorelines.
Great concept though, look forward to seeing a more developed game in the future.
On my main computer the game didnt work but i tried on another and i worked. The game is unique and i didnt saw this idea anywhere. For me its a cool concept and i like it.
I don't get it. It took me 2 minutes before I realized I can draw into map, but it seemed like it has absolutely not effect besides drawing into map. It was just empty canvas until i started putting some pixels into it. Is that how its supposed to be? I'm very confused by this game.
Yeah that was intentional. The game is just about calmly observing an island, in order to draw a map of the island, for the satifiaction of having drawn an accurate one.
Hope that clears confusion somewhat
I like the concept a lot! The music is very relaxing and perfectly fits the theme. Would love to see a few more features, e.g. a comparison of my drawn map and the original one at the end, or something like an overlap percentage. Would be great if the balloon would still be visible while the map is shown, so you can see where you’re heading at :D
Thanks for playing :>
A comparison of the drwan one and the orignal one was actually planned, but the drawing as implemented is too unaccurate for that. Plus I wanted the drawing a fast-doodle like quality to it, which wanting to draw with great accuracy kinda goes against.
Also I sadly didn't figured out how I would display the baloon with the map shown, without it looking weird :[
Concept's so unique, never seen it been done before! Feels like it doesn't fit with the 60 second timer, gives a sense of urgency when the game is very calming and therapeutic. Really liked it!
That's a very cool concept, I like it!
