Liked the idea of having to connect the vacuum to move through the room, the movement feels kind of weird but everything else is good

i like the game idea alot, i didn't like the controls and the fact that it's kinda repetitive tho but it was still fun to play (+ it's something different)
Portable vacuums are a thing! haha
I like the mechanic of grabing the cable and moving the vacuum. I feel a bit anoying the character control but it's not really a problem, I understand that it's the way you want us to play it, very good job.
All people of this jam have a great minds :)
I was actually going to use a roomba as the device to clean the room when the limitation was announced, but changed the device to a vacuum once the GMTK theme was announced.
After reading some of the comments, I do think that the controls could be improved, especially with certain hitboxes. I was thinking about using the mouse to point in the direction to face, but decided to use button inputs as I work primarily on a laptop. I'll experiment with using the mouse to point in a certain direction once the rating period ends.
Pretty good game, Its a bit repetitive but the concept and use of the limitation is pretty great, i did find a glitch tho, no idea how i did it, actually i found 2 probably unintentional things, 1 is that u can pick up the outlet and the vaccum at the same time when close to each other, and the second one is that uh, well i can go anywhere i want when the vaccum is turned on, again no idea how i did it, here is a screenshot : (and yes the vaccum is turned on and it succ's)
Thanks for the review! As for the glitches, I was planning on fixing the issue with picking up both the outlet and vacuum at the same time, but didn't have enough time to implement the fix. The second issue I encountered when dropping the vacuum at a specific spot of the vacuum's radius. I thought I fixed it during development, but I later found out that it was still an issue. At that point, I didn't have enough time to fix it, so I put in a reset button just as a last minute fix. I'll work on fixing it once the rating period is over.
Very clever idea and twist to the limitation.
I like how you managed to recreate an existential torment that many of us suffer on a regular basis. Kudos to you!
In all seriousness, great job on this project!
This was pretty clever!! Really cool idea and i loved the music! Plugging the cord in and the stretch all felt really solid and fun! I will probably think of this game the next time I vacuum and the cord doesn't reach xD Awesome work!! :D
