Really cute little game! I would have made the frog hat an unlockable item though. when i realised it was just an option in the pause menu my want to keep playing significantly dropped. Also I would have made the pickup button both LMB and E or F, i found it rather odd to have a hand on the mouse when I wasn't able to turn the view just to press a single button. Would have been more comfortable to use the arrow keys with my Right and press a button to pick up with my left. other than that this was really fun and I enjoyed catching frogs!

PS. I did the same concept of catching frogs but more like slime rancher! So it was good to see someone else have a similar idea!

Thanks for the feedback 🐸

I'm continuing to work on the game, and the plan is to have hats and skins as unlockables eventually, I just wanted to show it off after I had added it 😁

You have an interesting point about the control scheme, I will be adding camera movement eventually, so the mouse should see more use then, but I'll look into adding the option for different control schemes.

Hey just to let you know I updated the game and added mouse based camera movement.  I was thinking about the collectibles suggestion, I'm not sure how I could add it without the progress being reset every playthrough at the moment, so instead I've just added a collection of skins that you can choose from right now.

Hope you enjoy! 😁

I'm not overly familiar with unity, I use unreal and the save functionality is much easier. But that's a good alternative!

Jolly game! I could collect frogs all day!

Damn, I been wanting to hunt for frogs ever since I watched the Ted Bundy documentary, and heard him recounting about a pair of bulging eyes peeking just above the murky pond.  This game was super pleasant & a nice way to close off the night for me.  I liked it quite a bit.. never found the snail but it was cool to search for it similarly to how it would be done in reality.

It feels like a minimalistic simulator for looking for frogs/bugs whatever, and it does the job well.

Good Job!

Thanks for the kind words :)  The snail is pretty elusive right now, keep an eye out for newer patches.  He might just become a bit easier to find ;)

Cool calming game… Animation and sound effects were very nice… Also the wrapping around if fall from edge… I see open world and I instinctively go for the edge… lol…

Couple of pointers:

  1. Would have been nice if could look around with mouse…
  2. Facing towards the rock/log that you are picking….

Would love if you rate mine too… :)

Thanks for the feedback! I'm planning on continuing development on the project as I enjoyed the theme so much, so your suggestions will definitely be added soon.

Sure, I'll check your game out!

Just to let you know I've updated my game and added both of your suggestions. Great ideas, thanks! 😊
