This is really neat! The difficulty was also very well balanced. I think one thing that might be cool is if you could swap out your donuts after every round like how the opponent does, just so you don't have to refresh to try out different combinations.
Nice game, I like how moves the enemy..it's quite callenging. well done.
I like the gameplay and I would suggest to add some depth maybe have one type of donut go diagonally, or in general some pathing other than straight
Thanks for the suggestion! I've swapped the controls a little so that the mouse is used to aim and left/right click is used fired projectiles, so you can aim freely rather the only shooting in one direction
Yes!!! I love the changes! A description for how the donuts work, a loadout selector and better AI and firing mechanics! The game is so much more fun now and I definitely just played 21 rounds to test different loadouts and had a blast!
Loved it. Fun concept, controls simple in a good way and graphics fit theme perfectly. If I had to critique one thing, the AI is pretty predictable, but that may be a good thing too.
Thank you for the feedback! I tweaked the AI movement so that it's not as predictable and it tries to dodge any nearby projectiles.
I had a blast.
How does your AI. difficulty work? Do you just increase the clouds speed or is there even more behind that? The AI does get harder and harder after some time or is it just me?
There's a difficulty modifier that applies to the AI's stats every time they die, so its speed is multiplied by the modifier and the donut throwing frequency is divided by the multiplier. It's not at all a robust system haha
well, i think it works. it is a nice finished game :)
I thought the concept was pretty cool, but a touch up on the AI and maybe adding a reward system to unlock better donuts could improve the game. Overall, I love the presentation and the use of limitation.
Thank you for the feedback!! I'll be sticking with this game for a while to at least polish it out and make it playable.
Better/customizable donuts is for sure something I'll look at and I've drafted a state machine system to improve the AI.
