Use of the limitation
The roles in the game are inverted. Bennie the rabbit is sick of being hunted by horrible farmers. So he steals their shotgun and is about to get some revenge. The limitation fits in perfectly to the gameplay. Every farmer killed translates to a powerful shell that you can use to blast yourself through the map and build up momentum. This is the core mechanic. Kill enemies to use the better part of your weapon to traverse the map!
Cookies eaten
I sadly had no cookies. But I did have three takeaways in a row. The grind was real. You could say the crunch was real... Cus you mentioned cookies.. which crunch. And crunch, as in crunching time.. cus the deadline was close and I had to crunch for time to get it done. It is just an hour before the deadline now, so going to submit. You get it anyway! Thanks for the awesome Jam!

I don't quite like platformer but this one actually has such a cool mechanic of switching left and right click all the time that my brain hurts :D in a good way. One tiny nitpick is the bullet on the top left i saw way to late and never knew if i had a strong bullet left (could be a side-effect of playing on an ultra-wide screen )

goated mario type game
I am so happy you saw the mario inspiration. I am going to go deeper on the mario-like in the full demo release too. With a world map and everything.
I really think this generation is craving tougher, more demanding games like this. There’s a clear niche for what you’ve built, and you’re hitting it in a great way. You might seriously want to consider bringing it to Steam, it feels like it could find a strong audience there. Awesome work.
I am so happy you said this. I am already working on bringing this to Steam and have a very good vision for it. It is going to be a mario like world map too. Super excited about it too. And my composer is down to work on it the full way through. Thank you for saying that. I definitely want the game to get this hard, but in this version it got way too hard too quick in my opinion. I don’t know if it’s just me, but when I jump onto the wall, I bounce off it – not upwards, but sideways. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. It takes me a dozen or so attempts before I manage to jump up.
(That’s definitely the case in level 1)
Apart from that, I really enjoyed the game.
EDIT:
I took a closer look. I’m not sure if it’s a bug in the game, but the thing is, to jump onto the wall, you have to hold down the space bar and then press it a second time. Maybe it’s because the timing isn’t quite right, but you have to perform all these actions in perfect sync. It’s a bit counterintuitive, and the on-screen text (hint) doesn’t explain it very well either. Perhaps a minor tweak would sort it out. (Or maybe I just couldn’t get the hang of it.)
This Game is INSANELY addictive! i swear ive havent played a game that addictive in that long! the controls feels really smooth, it has the right difficulty although i would love for some checkpoints but overall, its beautiful.

Brutal but lovely. You've definitely inspired me to want to make something with a mechanic like this! The way the movement feels when you get your head (and hands) around it is VERY cool. The art is also NICE and the name Recoil Rabbit is perfection.

The movement feels smooth like you're playing a mix of pizza tower and ultrakill once you get the hang of it. The difficulty spike is definitely noticeable. Very cool game overall.
Thank you so much. Yes I am very sorry about the spike. It was my first time desigining levels and nevermind levels with such a wild mechanic like this. I had barely any time. But I will be redoing all the levels and fixing that in the future.

SUPER POLISHED and really great level design! I think the difficulty curve was a little too high for the first big jump because the camera wasn't able to pace ahead enough for me to see the spikes every time. I think the jumping concept was great!

I was just testing everything possible with the mechanic. Ill redo the levels for another release. I’m glad you liked the level design, that was the part I didn’t like how I did.
