Love the concept - I only understood that i was turning on my tile once I'd read your previous comments but after that i could orient myself and got my first treasure on island 5. I like the idea it's really neat.

Woah, the visuals are beautiful. All the sound effects are very atmospheric. I got a bit confused at first, but kept going because I was intrigued by the different landscapes and the lore. Very cool game.

I loved the concept. Found it very confusing in the begining, but thanks to some of the comments I was able to figure it out. The art is amazing, and the writing too. Also, very unique in this jam. Good job!

This was awesome, some of the best writing I've ever seen in a jam game. I was also a little bit confused about what you're seeing being the tile in front of you, but once I saw your comment, it made things more clear! Great artwork and sound design, the atmosphere was palpable.

Great entry!

Well hot damn that was awesome! A super cool mechanic, i had so much fun navigating the islands. The game also looked and sounded fantastic. I do not really have any feedback or critiques for you sorry. Wonderful game.

The art looks fantastic!

I’m confused as to how the map and the game world line up? There doesn’t seem to be a beach icon, yet I consistently found myself on a beach.

Walking around and checking the map and trying to figure out where I was seemed like a hopeless endeavour, and I assumed I was supposed to try to find the X on the map and dig but I felt more confused than anything.

If you could clear some of these things up I’d love to play again and adjust my rating :D

Hi ! Thank you for taking the time to play my game ! I understand that the way the map works can be a bit confusing.

The most important bit of information is that you don't see the tile you are on but the tile that is in front of you. The left and right arrows make you turn without changing tiles. So if you are standing on a forest next to the sea, you will see the beach view. Hope this clears up things and you can enjoy the game ^^

This makes sense! But if I were to dig, I am digging on the tile I am standing or the tile I am looking?

Developer

On the tile you are standing on ^^

The game really does need a tutorial in the end, my beta-testers were wrong x)

It's a very interesting and the art is certainly pretty. However, as a game it kind of lacks substance. I think it would have been cool to have more dialogue variations/events based on what the player does on the island, like interacting with the statues.

I'm beyond impressed! As someone really bad at creating game art myself I'm in absolute awe of what you created here. I also found the sound design and story telling to be simple but really immersive, and the gameplay concept really added to it as well. It's kind of the perfect jam game, congrats!
