Got 7750 all on my own! Albeit, with something that might be considered cheesing it, haha

I tried to keep the number of holes to a minimum,  so I'd tear one, fill it, and repeat, which made dodging the hands quite easy - maybe something like a combo timer could encourage keeping more holes open so players could coordinate some 'ultimate' sequential fill for extra points?

Other than that, I think it's a neat combo between an arcade game and a puzzle game! Also really appreciate the tutorial (and it being optional), it explains the game well by letting the player play!

The idea was that the lower the amount of jacks the more it’s an action game, and the more the amount of jacks the more it’s a puzzle game. (The hand attack speed decreases with the amount of jacks). It’s kind of difficult to balance it though, because it is cheesable in that precise way you did. Also Jacks cluster a lot and that is kind of a bummer.

The combo timer is a good idea I was thinking about some way to include combos, your suggestion is very interesting, I’d also test that closing a patch will close it forever and make it spawn in another place, so that you HAVE to move.

Anyway, did you find it too hard?

Yeah, I do think that's a decent way to balance the difficulty, but I can see that balancing a game like this can be pretty difficult! Maybe something like time or score as a secondary factor to the attack speed, in the case of time, as an encouragement to think fast, which would be quite chaotic with another person, or with score, to provide a consistent challenge

And yeah, moving patches could definitely solve the problem, of, well, I guess you could call it camping!

Personally, the difficulty at the start was fine, buuuut as soon as I got an optimal strategy it became less engaging for me and I'd usually only take damage if I cross-wired the controls in my brain which is really just an issue of me playing on my own haha

I didn't have second player handy so I had to turn on my brain on overdrive and I got 4750 :D I really like how You used a puzzle mechanic in a way that made it into chaotic arcade experience, it's super clever! Tutorial was very clear, players compliment each other well, and I will need to try it again with someone as I suspect it's a good game to make people shout at each other as they try to communicate under pressure :D Great work!

Thank you, and awesome score! Happy to hear that you had a wonderful time running away from the giant hand! We definitely recommend giving it another shot with someone else.

I loved the art, and the 2 player mechanics.

The tutorial was also well developed, nice game!!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words :D Did you find it too hard?

Submitted

Yup. The game has a fast pace and I got quite confused playing alone. I imagine playing with 2 people is better

2750 Points - well  very fast - a little stressfull I might say.

a Little less tiles at the start of the Game would be nice - the idea is cool to controll both but its very hard to keep track  - then adding red blocks - if thos stand next to each other they block totaly and no way around - but that would be hard to fix so no worry - its a solid Game with interessting mechanik  - well made!

oh  the Hand was realy cool ^^

Developer

Thanks a lot, we're aware of the red block clustering, yeah it needs some thinking. You can also play with a friend in local coop :D

very cool but a little too fast paced for me

Developer

It needs some balancing for sure! Thank you for your feedback
