Exactly what you expect from a small game, simple, fair and interesting rules! I finished the game several times and it could only be cooler if the boss moved less predictably.

Developer

Thanks so much, Im glad that you enjoyed it!

I managed to clock out!

Great concept, but it feels a bit bare-bones. The CTRL button is useless because it's very slow (which gets you killed) and you can play the entire game on audio cues alone and just use SHIFT and SPACE. The boss AI is unfortunately predictable, and I wish there was more to manage than just a single clock.

Overall I enjoyed it, but I wish there was more to it. Ending was hilarious lol, great job on that

Developer

thanks for playing, it definitely does need some more work to make it more engaging. Im glad you enjoyed the ending lol.

The concept is great but its more of a waiting game like others have said. Just to add to the other suggestions, I think you could have used mouse input like five nights at freddy and still have only 3 buttons (mouse look, right click to interact and space for actions). Also the ending scared the heck out of me for some reason

Developer

thanks for playing through the game, thats an interesting idea with the extra inputs I'll have to think on that, thanks once again for playing

I enjoyed the concept and the dread during the first peeks. Unfortunately after I got the timing it was more of a waiting game.

Maybe you could give the boss some more movement random pattern or add events that you have to react to. Like a ringing phone you have to answer or you have to fill out paper work as long the boss is watching you.

But overall I had a fun time. Good job and thanks for making it!

Developer

thanks so much for playing. The predictable boss movements have been brought up by some other people and u 100% agree that there needs to be more going on, ill try to spice up the game later if I end up having the time, thanks again!

The concept is cool and i liked the boss's design :) I think the fact that the boss emits red light cheat a bit the game since i never used the control input, I only pressed space when i saw red, maybe you need to recompute timing.

Some ways to improve from the top of my head:
- The camera work could be more dynamic. Give it more impulse, you're trying to sneak behind your boss dammit! So strong start + a bit of camera shake to show that you are in a hurry.
- Events that may trip you up or alert the boss. It becomes a bit redundant past de 6 hours (by the way, I won before attaining 12h, dunno if it's a bug)
- Sound design, I know it's difficult being a solo but sounds help a lot to communicate feeling (speed feeling or meaness of the boss for example)

voilà!

Developer

thanks for playing my game, and taking time to write out some genuinely very helpful advice, I agree with all of what you said and yes you are supposed to win at the 12 hour mark. if I can i'll revisit some of these ideas in the future :)

Super relatable game lol, had a blast racking up time, and I love how you implemented the end of the day as ascending to heaven.

I had some issues with the button configuration, but I think the problem was that I initially used my left hand to press all 3 buttons, instead of using right shift and right control. Also the timing of the boss arriving felt kind of repetitive by the end - some variation would help. Overall these are minor complaints, though

Developer

thanks so much for playing, if there was one thing i would have liked to add it would definitely be variation in how fast the boss moves, but oh well thought for next time, thanks again for taking the time to play through it. :)

Interesting idea of office worker trying to escape moster-boss.

I really like monster design and soundeffects.

Good job!

thanks :) it was fun to design the monster and sound effects. Thanks for playing!
