The concept is good and presentation is lovely!!! The mechanic is simple but really enjoyable and smart! Great job!!!

Nice sound design and I like how the buttons shake after enough correct key presses. The speed-up of the music is a nice way to end off a level. Only suggestion is maybe some sort of anti-spam protection because it was possible to just spam the left and right keys at a fast enough rate that it wound up any clock.

Amazing use of limitation!

Fun and intensive game.
Almost competed everything on 3 stars.

Excellent! Really fun and challenging and the music gives that extra spice.

I really liked this game! Although there were a few bugs (like with the green clock in level 2 being really hard to wind up, pointed out in another comment), winding up the clocks is just naturally fun to do, and I like how the music speeds up when the level is almost over.

Developer

Thanks for playing my game, I'm glad you liked it! It's good to hear that the effect of the music speeding up worked.

This thing with the green clock in level 2 is really strange, it's working fine for me - one thing I can think of that's not explained very well is that the green clock needs a different sequence of button presses to the red clock (so you have to press left, then right, then left and right together, and that pattern of three presses repeats) - was this the issue or is there something else going on?

Submitted

Ah, that seems to have been the issue! I must have forgot what it said on the instructions haha

Really great game! The music starting right on the game start is really nice! Had an issue with the alternating keys not working/ adding to the clocks time which got a bit frustrating, but other than that really liked it :))

Thanks for checking out my game! I'm glad you noticed the music syncing up with the start - I spent ages slicing it up and setting up the timings for that, so it's great to know it's doing what I wanted.

What exactly was the issue you had (what level, which clock(s))? I thought I'd caught all the obvious bugs but maybe I missed something

Submitted

No problem :)) It was the green clock in the second level, worked sometimes but other times didn't :((

Developer(+1)

Just wondering if this might have been the same issue that another commenter had - you have to wind green clocks up by pressing left, then right, then left and right together, and then the pattern repeats - I didn't make this clear enough in the tutorial

Really unique game with a nice use of the limitation. I loved the UI. The gameplay loop was a bit boring in the beginning but the additional clocks add a lot more depth

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing my game! I appreciate the feedback - the last few jams I've done I've made the game too hard, so I tried to go the other way and make the first level very easy, but maybe I went to far (or maybe it should have just be shorter idk)

I'm not too experienced with game design but I think having a easy and maybe boring early is not nearly a bad thing as it helps player get used to the main mechanics while having a hard and complex early game can make players confused and turned away from the game.  For this game particularly I think slightly shorter levels could be a good idea because after you find a pattern to keep the clocks winded it does get repetitive.
