Good work! The game is super difficult, I suggest giving the player some health. It might just be my system, but it seemed like the music was retriggering and layering every time I died? I agree with other commenters that WASD would be more ideal for a kb and mouse setup like this. Solo development is super tough, so I hope you're proud of your game!
It's really unforgiving, one shot and you restart the whole level. I think this would be fine if the camera was zoomed out a bit to be able to see the monsters before they shoot at you, or have a health system. Arrow keys and mouse is also a weird movement scheme.
The movement (not controls) are also super slidey and feels sticky when you run into a wall.
I think the art looks alright though
Also don't know if this is a bug or not, but me and a friend didn't know what to do next after killing the enemies in one level. We went to the hole but nothing happened
Interesting concept! I have a couple of critiques:
I think with a little extra work this game could be great. I hope the feedback helps!
Sadly the game is too hard for me
Good game, but make better controls (WASD instead of arrows) and make easier monsters, some are too fast, and they one shot
It connects quite well to the theme and is a nice top down shooter, the only "problem" and advice I can give you is to put it playable directly in the browser, 83mb of downloads are heavy ...
