Use of the limitation
***BEWARE, SPOILERS AHEAD*** We had this in a few places! In a literal sense, there is a chase scene where multiple "Other Neos" chase the player. More metaphorically, the whole plot of Neo being stuck on the train and having to navigate through the train cars (based on the five stages of grief) was caused by them being unable to move on from the death of their dear friend.

None, but I had a lot of crackers ^^;

Great job, loved the art and concept. The color schemes were really pleasant to walk through...even with the surprise.

Thank you so much! <3

Amazing and beautiful game.  The story and setting is well-written and the music is very calming and nostalgic. The ending also packs a punch (emotionally). This one's gonna be in my favorites in this jam :)

That's so sweet of you, thank you so much! We're glad you enjoyed playing <3

Hi hi~ I had a lot of fun playing yalls game! There was a lot of attention to detail in all the aspects that went into it (the vases giving off different feelings based on what stage we were in). I also really like how well the atmosphere was, each trains section suits its stage so well (the peaceful bliss of denial, like nothing ever happened, how empty and dark depression was ect).

The ending was also really sweet, bittersweet, and I think it fits really well. For how much time yall had you created such a well composed and thought out game!

Very nice experience. Besides a few small hiccups, it went down smooth. Great work to the team and best wishes on future projects!

OH Also the character art was superb! Especially on the title card, wow!

And you had saving worked out with heavy undertale vibes and everything, I'm obsessed!

Holy crap, I can't believe you built this in 3 days. It's all very thematically cohesive and thoughtful, even the dialogue speed contributes to the suspense and feeling. The discord of blood splatter + cheery music and background was incredible, and the chase scene was hard to figure out but clever.

Everything tied together to a surprisingly moving story. Really nice work!

Hi there, thank you so much for your thoughtful comments! We worked very hard on Hyacinth (I didn't get much sleep, haha), so we're really glad you enjoyed playing that final product! Thank you for all of your kind words <3

I completely believe that.

The quality of the final product screams to me that you interpreted the phrasing "72 hour game jam" literally ;)

Etoiledust, I was honestly shocked your game didn't get #1 on presentation. Your game really stood out aesthetically to me.

Hmu on Discord if you'd be interested in working together on future jams or just being gamedev buds, I think you're really talented and I'll bet our skills would complement each others' (Pixelpax#5375)

The game looks and sounds cool but dialogs which you can't skip or speed up is a pain.

Developer

Hi there, thank you so much for playing our game! As for the dialogue, if you hold down Z or press/hold PgDn it should go faster!
