The design in this game is SO GOOD!!! I love how everything is set up, interconnected, and works together. Nothing is too simple to find, but nothing is too difficult either. This game had me in the perfect flow state, with perfect pacing of the roll out of abilities, and fun moments of destroying the traps. The sheer creativity of the magical notebook puzzles, as well as certain abilities like the roof cling is super awesome. I love the characters limbs contorting to whatever it's walking on, as it feels really nice. The movement is super polished as well, and it's really fun just to walk around. There are a few small things, such as the softlock in the castle before unlocking jump, but it's really minor. The visuals are nice as well, and I can tell that you would make them even better given more time. All of my problems are really just things that I'm sure you would've fixed with more time, so it's no big deal at all. Great job using the time you had to make such a fun, well-designed experience!!

This really made my day, I had a work catastrophe (which thankfully resolved well) but this really nice to read in the midst of my panic. I’m curious, do you have a sense of how you played? And did you uncover the family crest? Nothing says it’s the family crest but it’s pretty unmistakable.

Lots of updates are coming: art upgrades, polish, more content, etc. Thanks again for trying it out!

I'm glad the your catastrophe resolved well, and that I could brighten your day!! The only thing that I could really define to how I played it is with curiosity I guess. I was excited to explore what your game had to offer, so I was just exploring at my own pace. When I got softlocked, I was a little confused, but I was pretty sure it was a mistake, so I started over, gave it another go, and had a really great time! I believe I found the family crest, presuming that it's that circle with the teardrop thingy that appeared from the cave and is on the castle. Again, really great game, I'm excited to see where it goes, and what you make in the future!!

Man I loved this game, the mechanics are well done and the puzzles use them so well! I like the story too, and the ambient music is a really good fit. The draw/erase mechanic is so cool! I felt like I was playing Zelda puzzles so great job! The tower puzzle at the end reminded me of some of the tower puzzles in Outer Wilds, I don't know how you planned that out but it was really fun!

Two places where I had a little bit of trouble: 1) you can get stuck in the bottom room in the castle if you don't have the jump yet because the ramp doesn't quite touch the ground so you can't roll back up it. I just restarted because it didn't take long to get there so no big deal. 2) While ceiling clinging my way up the outside of the castle I fell off into the space between the castle and castle wall, but to get back in I had to go all the way back out, change the text, come all the way back in, and change the text back again. It's not that big of a deal, but since I already had the ceiling cling ability at that I point I wished I could have used that to get back in faster. Just my opinion, this game was a blast!

Thanks for playing, I’m stoked you liked it! Thanks for the feedback, I totally forgot to fix that ramp, that area got reworked a bit at the end and I spaced that you could get there without jump; fixed locally for post jam updates. I also forgot about falling, I even had the thought that I should put the outer kill zones that teleport you back a few seconds to catch you if you fall so you just go back a little bit instead of redoing it all but then forgot when I actually put them in. I will definitely rework that, as well as finish all the other content I had planned out.

Nice texturing work, the music it’s matching, and the light are very good.

But I didn’t get how to jump I tried the buttons on the controls menu but nothing happen. And there’s a bug o the main menu, when you get into the controls you can’t go back to the main.

I’ve made a review of your game on my youtube channel.

Thanks for playing! Jumping is actually initially locked, it’s the second ability you get. The first is the magic eraser, then go back to the white pedestal, swipe over the word “winding” to then gain entry to the castle where you find the jump ability.

I’ve have tested the menus, and they do work but, indeed, I was able to get messed up too after trying it just now, sorry about that! QA on jams is certainly a weak point.

There’s a lot of ease-of-use improvements, one of them is hiding inactive ability config so I’ll definitely need to do that for next time, as well as give a little guidance earlier on. I’ve update my page with the controls, noting the bug, and some initial instructions.

If you get a chance to play more, I’d love any additional feedback but I really appreciate you trying it out and reporting the issues. Looking forward to watching the video!
