There is always something so cool about pico8 games! The colors are great, and the sprite work is nice. It's very difficult, and it's kind of hard to find your way, so I find myself dying really often and not being able to retrace my path too easily because of the lack of landmarks. It also is really hard to play because of the lack of music and sounds, those go a long way for playability. Great job though, again really love the art :D

We are happy to hear that you like it,

We just released the first update fixing a lot of problems.

It will be playable after Metroidvania Month Game Jam 19 voting ends.😃

Nice! The art style works well.

The precise platforming feels somewhat punishing and it's hard to make it very far. I was thinking making the glide even slower could be beneficial.

And of course music + sfx would be great.

Great job!

Thanks,

Our first update just released (will be playable after the Metroidvania Month Game Jam 19 voting ends).

Hint: Droping of the ledge with the glide allowes for better control and slower falling.

Beautiful graphics. Although the scale is tiny, the colors are lavish, and each area looks quite distinct. The controls are also smooth, with unobtrusive wall-scaling. Respawn times are mercifully brief.

There are some SFX, but not many, and no music. Remember that a little bit of effort with sound goes a long way--it always helps with immersion.

The main mark against the game is that death is extremely frequent, and always one-hit. It takes quite a bit of skill, and a large number of deaths, to get more than 3 or 4 screens into the game. I think that there could have been a more gradual ramp in difficulty.

I really like the minimalist art-style, and the way you blend tile sets at zone transitions.

I found the screen transition was a little disorienting, especially when falling or jumping. There were a few places where I fell onto spikes in the next room.

I wasn't able to get very far (I'm bad at this kind of precision platforming), but I liked how all the powerups I found were movement related. That felt very clean and simple.

Thank you a lot for your feedback, we'll have future updates considering these problems.😃

fun game. the transition when you die is a bit goofy, and i wish there were more sounds, but its good.
