Very nice game! Maybe there are not many mechanics, but I feel like things you added are polished. Had fun playing your game, especially this 'dashing' through lava/water :D

Hey. I was able to play through the game and it worked well for me even though nothing was explained.

I died a few times in the purple area until I realised that there must be another upgrade. otherwise I didn't get stuck anywhere for long.

What i also liked was the simple and retro looking artstyle of the game :)

This was a pretty fun game. I enjoyed figuring out the movement patterns of the different enemies and "outsmarting" them to get to a key or race to a door.

I also like the bird's-eye view of a whole region, a la Zelda II. I always enjoy that in a game.

That said, the project departs from the central Metroidvania conventions in a couple of significant ways. Gravity is not a gameplay factor; the movement is grid-based; and I was not able to access additional abilities (although I got stuck, so perhaps I just didn't get to that point!).

I really like about the game that you coded all the stuff yourself which gives everything a really retro and handmade kindof vibe.

Loved it! Kind of reminded me of Zelda 1, both the visuals and the fact that you are just kinda thrown into the world. Couldn't find the way forward in the purple area anymore unfortuanetly, but still, good job on making this!
