Cool prototype!

This is an awesome solo entry, it's kind of what a real demo is supposed to look like. Nice and simple and smooth. Dropping the player in straight in front of a tower was a bit of a shock, or maybe it portal by me I'm not sure. I was able to play for a bit then it went back to the scene start think but I had no mouse and no way to hit the buttons. The hit effects are pointing up, I think they should probably be pointing in a different direction as it looks off. You can set small random variations in the angle to stop them looking too repetitive. The firing felt good and the sound was nice. Well done!

hi, and thanks for the honest critique, i didn’t even notice this menu glitch, but as it appears i forgot to reset mouse control after game ending!

many things have been fixed since, and i appreciate your honesty! Also your kind words, very motivating, thank you!

Good start, I feel like the movement is far too slow though.

Even though there technically isn't a full game here, I feel like the focus on sfx and visual effects like explosions really lent it a great overall sense of impact and feedback. Were these effects and designs attached to a full game, I feel it would play great, so this is very solid for a prototype!

Developer

thank you very much Crimson, i play a lot of overwatch and so i’m used to quite a focus on FX!

I’m glad you could at least appreciate the work that was done, and thank you for the motivating message! :)

Nice little FPS prototype! I like the look of the turrets, and explosion effects, and the controls feel decent, though the jump didn't seem to be working. It would be nice to have more to do, but I understand you did this all on your own, so kudos for that!

Developer

thank you for the criticism!! I agree with the jumping, it’s terrible 😼

I appreciate the kind words too!
i am entering this in the “improve my game jam” so over the next 2 weeks I’ll take this comment into consideration for how to improve.

I’ll add some more stuff to do in the coming weeks, I have a planned list of additional things that will be added. An overhaul of the entire look of the game, and of course fix the jumping issues.

Thank you for feedback @xenological
