Like all animation done in the game..overall art is quite good. Controls are awesome.

Its a pretty neat game! Nice sprites! What you can do to improve is to disable any movement animation when users input both left and right :)

Somehow lost the ability to shoot after dying once. Did manage to complete the level however. The character sprite looks nice!

I think you are doing the classic jam mistake of keeping the fun until a bit later. What's fun is jumping and shooting. I should be able to do these things immediately. Most folks will likely quit before they get to what's actually fun about the game!
