Absolutely Gorgeous game! Also great to see a fellow arrow game concept :)

I was a bit lost with the direction when I got the soul. Wasn't completely sure which direction the earth would be, and should I just move or keep shooting enemies. Figured it out eventually. Took me 3 tries to finally make it. Great game! Thank you for the experience

Original art and mechanics, I like it a lot the chain and arrow and the ability to realease the soul and fight, a little hard for me, I try 3 times with no luck, maybe a difficulty curve, nice music to, really nice job!

The artwork in this game is serene. I feel this title has a lot of potential for further development. I think that, with a faster pace and more mobility, it could be tightened up. Overall really nice, well done!

The question on the THEME of the game :

We've seen a lot of comments saying that the theme wasn't respected in our game, yet it's actually part of our gameplay, even if we forgot to explain it due to lack of time: the flame represents the soul of a living being, and through its inspiration (depicted by the zoom-out and chromatic aberration effects), time slows down, symbolizing vitality.

The game hits hard ngl. Like dayum guys, honestly this game feels like it could very much win the game jam. Like almost evrything about it felt great. Tho i think i found a bit of a bug? Is it a bug idk. Like when i almost entered the city, a thing just came up to me and killed me. I got the game over screen, but after 2 seconds, it showed me the end cutcene? Idk but over i loved the game! You guy might want to make it a tad bit more balanced. Tho it's already quite balanced.

Actually here :)

Hope to see more come to this game once the jam's over :D)

This game is unbelievably polished! I love the gameplay so much and it feels so simple yet coherent. This is an incredible piece of work!

It goes without saying that this is truly a beautiful game, the visuals truly make the game as they say, the combat while quite basic works very well, and the addition of the narration and plot really stitches everything together, overall a polished small package, excellent work!

PROS:

- Art, smooth anim feel 900/10

- Art and colors just the stuff

- Doesnt fit theme but I dont really care too much about that kind of thing as theme is just there to get the brain juices flowing. I would rather a beautiful game not with theme then a dumpster fire with the theme in mind.

Cons:

- One of those game where if you replace the art with geometric shapes it isnt fun on its own

- Yes art is important to a game, but this games purpose is combat, but its combat is just bad.

- Switching between carrying the item and shooting is pointless, I would find myself in everlasting combat with no time to pull the item if I dont pull the item

- It was more intuitive to just drag the statue and use it to block shots, but then it died or something and I just died?

- Movement is slow carrying the item, going just straight up with no variation in gameplay was the best most intuitive strategy I found.

- If the gameplay was as good as the art, animations and overall visuals, it would easily be the best game in the jam!

it's really beautiful artistically but i dont get how it fits the theme

Absolutely stunning! Not what I would expect from a jam visually at all

Downsides: In the browser version I wasn't getting any audio. The game didn't really fit the theme overall and the combat felt like it could have used a lot more work (for example just spam shooting works great).

On the positive side the graphics is quite good and the team implemented some nice storytelling.

How in the world did you make this in 10 days! This is so good! I love the combat system. I wasn't able to finish the game but from what I saw, it had a really good story. I love how the clouds and how they warp together when you move, the overall graphics for this game look really nice. I love how smooth the movement is.

Great game but it doesn't really fit the theme.

poo-poo (my comment on the main game page)

I get super motion sick when playing this - it might be the clouds that keep warping combined with a small screen

I think adjusting it to bee less strong would already help

The Art and Style was nice ( At least what I saw )

My favourite part of this game was the combat system. Flying around and using the bow was very fun and it felt very natural to control. The art was also stunning and very nicely done although I did find that the visual effects (specifically the chromatic aberration ) were a little bit overwhelming and distracted from the gameplay a bit too much. The music was really nice too and overall the game felt like a very original experience.
