Did you work in a team?
No

Was the resolution a challenge?
The resolution was a challenge because I had to figure out how to create a pixel perfect game view that didn't create rendering issues with the UI(the UI would randomly move by 1 pixel in a random direction as it was parented to the camera). I fixed this by having the game view get projected into the UI itself, and having the UI stay in place, with a camera pointed at it. Additionally, the UI was in world space, so it stayed consistent no matter what the screen resolution was.

What did you learn?
I learned to animate the graphics, and I learned to create an actual tilemap(it didn't involve a single sprite.)

Great puzzle game. Each puzzle is solved in an interesting way, although in theory the gameplay does not change much. However, at levels with spikes, I really want to have more vision zone, and the minimap does not help

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. A wider field of vision would require a complete sprite rework(8x8 to 6x6 or 4x4), or a change in the game resolution(64x64 to 96x96/128x128.) I personally would prefer a sprite rework, as it would stay within the original resolution the game was designed for, but it would impact the graphical style. It probably doesn't matter what option I choose, because this is a game jam game, not something I would sell.

Really fun game! I really like the puzzles and how you handle all the visual effects, and the solid audio goes really well with the game. Great job!

Developer

Thank you!

That was fun! I like how you're using the limited field of view in some puzzles. Really taking advantage of the low resolution there.

The WebGL build seems to be working fine in Firefox, using Linux.

Developer

Thanks! At first I thought the lower field of vision would make the game harder, but after adding a minimap, I felt that the game became easier. Also, I probably should've tested the WebGL build on more devices, for longer periods of time.

This is a good one! Simple but effective mechanic and well put together. Kind of a rhythm game crossed with puzzle platformer that I found really fun to play!

Developer

Thanks! There were going to be a few more mechanics(like conveyor belts,) but I didn't have enough time to make levels using them.
