Fun little tank tactics game, I didn't have someone to play with me (it's like 6AM here right now) so I played both sides. Enjoyable and the sounds are great. As others have said, doesn't "technically" meet the main rule of the jam, but the grid of "pixels" showed you're on the right track.
I see what you were thinking - your play area is less than 64x64 cells but as goddommitdom says, the overall resolution is outside the rules.
This is way bigger than 64x64px. Like, I get what you were going for with the emojis and I think it's clever and pretty cute, but it lands firmly outside the bounds of the jam.
