A clever puzzle game where you really have to think ahead a lot (especially the later levels).  It's one of those games that is easy to learn but at higher levels requires a lot of calculation and thinking (I was able to beat level 8 but it took a pretty long time and I couldn't even tell you what I did). Trying to make random moves hoping for the best definitely won't work here and I like that a lot. An idea I had to make this even MORE difficult is to introduce blocks that can be pushed 1 square away the first push (or for a select number of pushes, perhaps indicated by a number on them) and then remain stationary for all the other pushes, would be difficult to design but could work. Only real issue I had is the sides of the screen got cut off for me since my monitor has a different resolution but I was still able to figure out what to do so it wasn't that big of a deal. Really well done!

These are great ideas! Thank you so much for your comment! I will be updating the game after the jam and I think movable blocks are such a cool idea! I will try to incorporate that

Always a fan of puzzle games. Here's some feedback:

  • clever puzzle design, easy to understand, yet hard to master
  • easy to read levels and which goals have to be achieveed
  • the contrast of the colors is a bit too harsh (positive sidenote: color blind friendly). here's a website to quickly find working color palettes
  • missing some player feedback (like Frelude said)

All in all a solid entry to the jam and you can be proud of submitting!

Developer

Thanks for the comment! Yeah i played another game in the jam with a off white and more charcoal color palette that I think would be better, less harsh.  If your interested I will be improving the game after the game so come recheck it out!

Sure, I'll keep an eye on your game!

Nice game!

I think you should have different block patterns per side a little earlier in the levels and I haven't found a way to get back to the menu or quit the game while in the level.

After level 8 I ended in a level with smaller cells and no target cell.

Developer

Yeah sorry, I realized after submitting that I forgot to reactivate the pause menu... I will be expanding and improving the game after the jam so please come check it out!

Nice puzzle game.

What I like :

- The concept

- The simplicity of rules

- The readability of the level

- Nice music

What can be improve :

- See edge of cell, to count them easily

- Add an Undo feature

- Levels are too big without needing to. A big part has no puzzle interest...

- Need some juicy sound/particles/screenshake , etc...

Hope it helps.
Good job on this game.

Love this kind of puzzle games! The only thing is that maybe there is too many "empty blocks" in the levels, so if you fail (easy to fail as it should be in these games) you have to start again and fill those empty blocks until you get to the interesting part. Maybe 5 or 6 blocks of "height" instead of 10?

Good job!

Developer

Thanks! totally agree, i was thinking of making it 3 or 4 wide but still as tall.... with more solid blocks too. Ill have to test. Thanks for the comment!!

decent game, just a bit repetative

Developer

Thanks! yeah I agree, I might make changes after the jam to have different size fields, 3x10, 8x8, 5x10, stuff like that. Any other ideas to add more variety to the game??
