The game is nice, hearing the different sounds the cats make and guessing which one's correct is a classic!

Having a score at the end of the game would be good, so I know which ones I got correct. I originally thought the top left corner was for that purpose, but it was for current number of questions.

I learned that I really don't know how cats sound, so this was a new experience for me!

Developer

Glad to hear that you learned something new with my game!

When the cat you chose is highlighted in green, it is the correct answer, when it is highlighted in red, it is incorrect. The result of the number of correct answers at the end was planned from the very beginning, but time makes its adjustments ;).

Thanks for playing my game!

Cool idea for a game, reminds me of my cat when he's hungry! I'd like to see this idea expanded more, I want to know what more animals sound like. The player interaction while simple worked really well like the red tint and shaking when wrong and green with particle effects when right. All you need is more content and I would keep playing!

Developer

The cats must be fed!

I plan to add at least one more section with animals - fish, and also to design the game result a little differently, and then it all depends on the mood, opportunity and those who want to play the game ;).

Thanks for playing my game!

My 7y/o son loved it. Concept is fine, but it could benefit from showing the score at the end of the game.

Developer

Glad to hear you liked the game! I agree that the game only benefits from showing the result, in general it should have been that way, but time has made its adjustments ;).

This game was ok. It was very educational, but the game aspect could actually be developed more.

It would be nice if you at least gave the number of correct answers at the end of the game. It would be even better if you gave a different ending for a perfect score or for any score versus getting them all wrong as well.

I did really like how the picture highlights when you mouse over it, and the mouse cursor being a paw was very cool as well :)

Giving the opportunity to learn something new is what I was trying to implement in my game, I'm glad to hear that it worked :).

At the end of the game, of course, there should have been a result, but time has made its adjustments ;). Good note about the different appearance of the result in the case where all the answers were correct!

I put a lot of time and creativity into the interactivity, so I'm glad to hear that you liked the paws :D.

Simple but nice game (nice use of particle effect too)

Developer(+1)

I had to explore gravity a little to make the particles fly up :D.

Thanks for playing my game!

Fun game to learn cat sounds!
It's hilarious to think that the cute little wildcat makes noises like that. I want to hug all of them.
Really fun and would love to see more.

How fish sound seems like it would be the most challenging of all animal sounds!

Glad to hear that you liked it! I tried to make the game so that it teaches the players something :).

The feline family undoubtedly took first place, cats are cool, both big and small, you just have to be a little faster with the big ones :D.

Actually I wanted to add many more categories and you won't believe it, I actually planned a second category - fish :). Also planned was a category of secular animals and further down the list. I plan to add at least one or two more categories in the future, where fish will definitely be ;).

Well, if there is an opportunity and people are willing, then add more and more content :).

Very cool game, I learned something and I was even surprised about how some of them sound.

Developer

Glad to hear you learned something new, that's exactly what I expected from my game :).

Thanks for playing my game!

this game helped me learn how cats sound!

seriously though, i had no idea these animals made those sounds so this was a very educational experience for me! i wish there were more animals to choose from and some complementary mechanics like difficulty progression or maybe having to choose between two sounds instead of two pictures.

overall, this was a neat little project!

I'm glad to hear that my game helped you learn something new!

I plan to add at least one more section with animals, most likely fish :). And later, if there is an opportunity and there are those who are willing, we will add even more content.

Currently, if you wait 7.5 seconds at the end of the game, you will automatically be returned to the beginning of the game and pairs of cats will be randomly selected, just like when starting a new game.

Thanks for playing my game!

the fish would be perfect, i never even knew they could make sounds! i really do like the concept and id like to see more of it and to see it a little bit more gamified, it would be great supplementary material for biology classes or homeworks!

Developer(+1)

I haven't researched fish thoroughly yet, but at least whales definitely talk :).

I'm glad to hear that someone besides me sees the learning potential in this game!

I agree about more gamification, as an option I was also thinking about mini-games after each question, for example, if you guessed that it sounds like a cheetah, then you have the opportunity to play a mini-game with a cheetah, or move on to the next question. The mini-game itself will also reveal some characteristics of the animal, if it is a cheetah, then it is the fastest cat, so the mini-game will be related to speed, for example: run away from it; catch it; hunt for prey, etc. Or just a simulator of an animal in its environment :). Or whatever comes to mind ;).
