I remember playing this one on the bootcamp #0. There's definitely big updates since then, The environment, the npcs and the cards. It still feels unclear what the goal is from first run through but paying back a loan is good. Keep it up!
Hey man, as I said in the Discord, I love how much this has come on. Graphics are looking really cool now, and the loop is great. Can't wait to see what features you add over next few iterations :D
I was thinking, maybe you should make some other method where Card Shop Kid gets his cards from? Not that it's a big deal, but it seems the shop being there is a slight immersion breaker in that any of them could get there. Could he maybe have an Animon contact? Like, going off on one, could he maybe even have an actual Animon card that has come to life, that can get him rare cards in exchange for completing a task or something, and then, I dunno, some kind of mysterious Animon card dealer that gives behind the shop or something. Just a thought, I mean it's great as it is, but it just occurred to me you could have a whole row of shops at the top that maybe link into other little sub-taks, or sub levels even.
Again, just throwing random shit out there haha, you know I love this, and totally impressed with how far it's come on graphics wise. I really do think you should make some idle anims as well though, like I know a lot of 90s games (especially on GB and stuff) didn't go for them so much, but I do think it would add to the vibe of the characters.
Anyway, amazing work, keep going cos I think you're defo onto something ;)
I enjoyed the graphics and music that went with the game.
Some of the feedback I have has already been mentioned. I think depending on the direction you want to go, having an ability to see a master collection of the cards could be cool.
If you also had the ability to trade cards with the characters around the playground to give you a bigger variety of cards to sell could be a fun element.
Super fun game and mechanics. I can imagine what it could do if you add a PVP option, or even customization of cards. Uff, that would be insane.
Hey Greg! Love the updated visuals on this game and they make me want to keep playing it based on that alone (good art magnet!)
I noticed what seem to be some bugs that weren't around the first time:
I got to day 9 without barely being able to sell many cards and thought that was really strange.
I like that we've got a bargain bin now to offload some of the extra cards we have. I wonder if the sale rate could be some multiplier of the rarity, something along the lines of $1 for common, $2 for uncommon, $3+ based on rarity.
Looking forward to more updates on this game! Great job!
Hey man, thanks again for the feedback! Yeah these are things I've written down already and am trying to resolve, though I suppose the clipping of the character sprite in the playground scene is new to me, so I'll have to check that one out more closely. I'll try to upload more frequent updates to the game so you and the others can get an idea of the direction things are going and maybe see some improvements in the bugs of the game. :)
I liked the game loop :D and special customer events xD. I was quite engaged in the gameplay but the game crashed during one of the bargain phases just after I dragged and dropped one of the cards on the table. I do not remember what card it was but I managed to make a screenshot (post-crash). On the screen-shot you can see a card "Doom Whis..." but I do not remember I was dragging that one. Probably yes but I can't tell for 100%. Also, I noticed this kind of a bug: a) [bug] After starting one of the trading days I noticed 2 cards inside of my deck with amount of x0 , and I was able to drag them on the table for the customers. Maybe both bugs were on the same day but I can not tell for sure.

I would like to see what will happen when I do not get the 500 moneys on time, but the issue with the crash made me stop.
With the current money and trading balance it is hard to tell if it is possible to get to 500 money in 20 days.
Yeah, I've been getting this one reported a lot lately... I'll have to check why it's happening. Thanks for reporting it! At least one user recently got to the end, so it's definitely possible, but I'm not sure what's causing this particular crash, so I'll have to dive deeper. I'm glad you had fun as long as you could.
Great concept, and the audio and visuals lend themselves nicely to it! I might suggest either slightly increasing the card values, or finding another way to balance haggling because if you fail to haggle on a card with value of 1 it goes to 0. But if you succeed in haggling the second time it stays at 0.
Thanks for the feedback Eric! It's a good point. I also noticed the haggling could be improved a bit.
