Lots of interactive elements going on here! The readability would be hugely improved by breaking the text into columns. I was initially reluctant to give this one a look because of the cover (not huge on straight up using AI art as final output) but I’m happy I gave yours a chance as well! Looking forward to introducing arm-wrestling ants to my players :)
You don't get to talk to bugs often...until NOW! I also like that a single player has the MD effect. Also, way to work in a Dwarf Babe Poster =)
The map is clear and usable. The rooms look good. I like that you have stat blocks. I think a better layout maybe 2 column would help readability.
Some really good ideas here - I'll never say no to a mention of Azathoth - but I would like to make some suggestions for improving the adventure:
1. The opening scene is evocative, but a lot for a DM to narrate to their players - is there a way to consolidate into a form easier for the DM to run more interactively?
2. Singling out one player isn't always fun: maybe the entire party has the mantis dream?
3. There's a few places where you describe something multiple times - willow-wisp the cat jumping into the PCs arms, the nature of ant arm-wrestling, etc. Maybe these could each be condensed into one place for each?
4. If the insects are just now overrunning the mine, when did they have time to build a full bar? Did they find it already intact for their use?
5. Adding a random encounter table could go a long way here.
That's quite a cover image!
Great job with the map, each room feels unique and is easy to spot. I also rather liked Bruni Emberaxe - who doesn't love a singing ghost, especially when it's a dwarf.
If I ran this adventure, I think I'd have the MD Effect jump from player to player each time they roll on the table, to give everyone a chance to shine.
I love a good insect adventure! I wasn't expecting as much NPC interaction as this adventure delivers, which was a cool twist.
