i honestly felt myself yearning to live longer rounds just so i can hear the boppin tune! the synchronized sprites really satisfy my brain; love rhythm games, great work!

Developer

Thanks so much! It's great to hear that you like the game and the music!

Really interesting and innovative mechanics, and the use of sound and rhythm is pretty cool! It was very difficult to play, and I did not last long lol. But nice graphics, use of music, and gameplay mechanics!

Developer

Thanks for the comments and feedback! It is indeed proving hard for a lot of us (myself certainly included)!

One of the most solid entries in the jam. Graphics are awesome, mechanics are innotavive and interesting, and fits the theme 100% (and the introductory music,  simply amazing). It took me a couple of minutes to understand how to play, but finally i got it. Difficulty is hard (I didn't last more than a couple of minutes) but maybe is meant to be that way. Simply awesome work!

Developer

Thanks so much for the kind words! (Ahem, especially about the music 😉) Glad you enjoyed it!

I love the concept, the presentation, the use of the theme. The mechanics are extremely interesting! but way too hard for me to play...  sorry.

Developer

Hah, thanks for the comment--sounds like the common critique with our game... we gotta reign in that difficulty :)

Visuals and audio are really harmonious.

Enemies may be too fast at the beginning? Maybe the new allies could move a little but slowly?

Developer

Thanks for the compliment and feedback--that's a really nice idea!

I found myself fighting with the controls which is a shame since I really like the unique take on the theme and this assets packs is one of my favorite.  I also got confused with the landscape thinking I have to walk only on the drawn path and then was surprised when the skeletons walked outside of that diagonally which was confusing since everything looks like it is on a grid. Outside of that, I think it  really is a fun concept just needs some work on the controls side of things and starting with smaller maps and lesser enemies to help teach the concept on how to play it.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree with your critique--I think we're happy to have gotten anything solid done given the time constraints, but it'd be nice to tweak the difficulty (and I suppose sprite collisions with water/etc?) to adjust the gameplay. Perhaps, as you say, starting with fewer enemies as an easing in. I also thought that maybe the sprites maybe move more slowly at first (say, on every other beat), and then the speed and tempo ramp up as you go farther. Could be a little Tetris-y that way.

The concept is really cool and interesting ! It's a bit hard to get to use to the controls but the association between the art style and the music is perfect !

Developer

Thanks for the comment--yeah, the difficulty is a bit tough (it took me a while to get used to it myself) but it was fun to pair the music with the asset packs we chose.

I loved that the enemies moved to the beat. Having to use the keyboard for moving the player like that was a bit rough for me and grabbing allies always got me killed lol

It was a really interesting concept and I had fun playing it

Developer

Thanks for the comment! And yes, I think if we had more time we would have adjusted the difficulty a bit...

This concept is unique and very well made. The game always kept my attention with stressful situations. The sound effects and music were also very good and I loved the way the enemies according to the beat. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks for the compliment! It was fun to be able to pair up the beat with the sprites' movement :)
