This is a good prototype of a game, but doesn't really work on its own. Overall I like the concept, the gameplay fundamentals and graphic design are good but need more polish. For example because the turning circle is so large, it's way harder to hit enemies behind you because if you try and turn around they're now to your side.
Also the level generation is annoyingly inconsistent. In my first try I wandered for at least 5 minutes without finding the exit, but on a second try I just walked in a straight line for 8 rooms and got the exit.
Yep, It's meant to be a prototype, I'm going to make it wayyy better and publish it to Steam.
Good game, but i think it would be better if character were facing mouse cursor. Also the game has great potential.
I'm making updates right now, and that's the first thing I did.
I really like the music and visuals in this. I did find that I was just kind of wandering around hopelessly not really sure what I was looking for, eventually just stumbling upon the exit after a few minutes. I also felt like the enemies could have been a bit more engaging, it didn't seem like there was much point in attacking them as you could use the dodge roll to just get past them. Overall really good job though, I could easily see this being expanded on to make a really cool procedural dungeon game!
Thanks! I plan to release it to Steam someday, so your feedback is appreciated!
The maze is extremely massive, add some orientation marks to tell player where the exit approximately is. Also "You IS dead", huh?
Thanks for the feedback!
THIS IS SO COOLLLL THERES SO MUCH YOU COULD DO WITH THISSSS
Thank you!!! I plan to do a lot with this!
YIPPIEEEE
I thought incredible how you done a procedurally generated dungeon in just 3 days.
The combat was very kanky but since you als had procedura generated dungeon i cant complain
lol Thanks!
Cool game. I liked the models of the player and the enemy and the blood splatters when getting hit.
I did not find a way to hit enemies without getting hit back, even when I tried to roll just after attacking.
After a while I realized that I don't need to fight enemies at all, and just rolled my way to the finish line.
If you keep working on this game after the jam, try polishing up the combat - like adding time for the player to dodge, and give some incentive to fight the enemies instead of running away.
procedural generation is really impressive to get working in such a short time. I also liked the atmosphere that was created by the music and background.
Nice work.
Thanks, atm I'm finishing up a diffrent game, but after that I'ma make it where you enter the dungeon to get resources, and I'll make the enemy attack delay a bit longer.
Thanks for playing!!!!
Pretty cool theme interpretation. The music and the graphics were really nice, just the controls were a bit weird. Overall a nice submission :)
Thanks!
I IS DED 😔
Are the levels procedurally generated? Thats really neat.
Combat can use some polish but The models are nice and I really like the music.
Nice game overall!
RIP 😔
Yep, my first time playing with procedural generation, so it is a little buggy. Yeah, I ran into a few issues with the combat so I wasn't able to polish it.
Thanks for playing!!!!
This was really cool, the procedural aspect is impressive. the combat was fun but janky, it was a bit hard to aim at times. also really did not understand how to beat the game i would go around go into the dark portal and it would start over? overall great entry
Thank you!
This is such a neat idea!
It’s a shame about the AI art and text. I don’t know if it’s a self-confidence thing or if you just like the style, but I wish this was more authentically and uniquely yous, you know?
But in the end, I love your idea!
Thanks!
Yeah, I cant draw pictures on computers worth crap. lol
Nice game, gives me the vibe of dark souls
Thanks, I was going for a mixture of Dark Souls and Diablo. Glad you enjoyed it!
AI Art on the cover and description </3
Overall cute, not a fan of the sword being dependent on character positioning for a third person game, but still fun.
I asked the mods if AI for the page was okay, and they okayed it. Thanks for looking out though!
The sword isn't dependent on the character positioning, when you attack it's a radius around the player on all sides that hits enemies, I'll expand it if it feels too small though.
Thanks for playing!!!
Please report any problems to me.
