  • I love the environments in this game, they are beautiful and kind of surreal. They really helped cast a spell that got me very invested in this. Puzzles were solid, if generally pretty easy and the storyline is interesting although a little more detail about the world and its history might have been nice. The last scene was definitely spooky and I wondered what the right choice really was. Great work.

Very slow movement at times. At least one area can be frustrating due to being heavily influenced by what appears to be RNG. Another area can be frustrating due to the oddity of timing. The graphic is a bit odd in a few places where it doesn’t quite match up to the mechanics, but otherwise fits the mood of the game.

The concept is alright, but some of the relationships seem a bit forced considering the timeframe. This makes it more difficult to feel that strong of a connection with any of the characters. You may wish to consider in expanding the story and improving on mechanics.

That was such a beautiful game to play! Each puzzle was different and I enjoyed figuring out how to solve them and what my limitations were.

I especially liked the storyline and the artwork. At first glance it seems like it's a whimsical game, like many before it, but I wasn't quite expecting the direction it went. It kept a similar theme throughout and I loved the consistency.

You can tell the team put a lot of thought into the dialogue, artwork, and game play. I was thoroughly impressed with it and I was not expecting that level of detail. My only real complaint is that it was a short play through for me, I would love to see a longer game with more intricate puzzles added in! I have so much more to say, but I don't want to spoil the game for anyone.

It's definitely worth playing through!

I'm so happy you liked it! I tried very hard to make it the best that it could be! Jumping into the contest late and having my team mate drop out before accomplishing his tasks were both huge hurdles. I'm sad that this lacked the polish I had originally hoped for, but its so wonderful to get positive, constructive feedback!

Very beautiful artwork for a generally impactful entry in terms of mood. While this entailed an assortment of puzzles, none of the puzzles were particularly innovative. I furthermore admit to being unsure whether the tone of some bits of dialogue truly lived up to the tone of the game overall.

The idea of choice at the end was interesting, but it seemed easy considering in what position the protagonist was to be defiant even if she were faced with lies. What follows feeding the pedestal to our right (the act of defiance) is an example of the point I made about tone in the paragraph above.

I was pleased to play this game!

thank you for the compliments and criticism!

Being my first game definitely showed me the struggle of keeping things cohesive. And it also showed me that I don't work well under pressure.

I worried a lot about the dialogue and the defiant choice is definitely part of what I worried about, so I absolutely agree with your criticism and hope to fix it to for an updated version when this is all over.

Unfortunately for the puzzles, they were over simplified due to time constraints. I was terrified that the judges would run out of time. So in the final version I hope to make them something a bit more exciting! Thank you for the review!

Hello everyone! I've had a couple people say they had trouble getting the files extracted.

I suggest downloading winRAR. It's a free program for unzipping files and for extracting RAR folders for use.

You can get winrar with a simple google search, it will ask you to choose which language, then it'll give you the option to buy, or use the free version. Do neither, and click the little tiny option that says Continue to download WinRAR.

The game was really fun! If you want to watch a (really bad) LP on how I struggled with the second puzzle - here ya go!

Thank you so much! It was surreal watching someone play my game. I was smiling from beginning to end and your commentary during the bird's trial had me dying.

Also want to make sure your criticisms are put into place for a more fully fleshed version.

Thank you again, that really made my day.  One last thing, if you hit continue, you have a chance to choose the alternate ending ;)

I'm glad you found my commentary during that puzzle funny - because I was actually cry laughing at how bad I was! That's really my only criticism - sometimes it felt like there was lag input on the button presses. Everything else was beautiful and awesome!

I'm gonna go click continue now~!

haha trust me, I'm terrible at that puzzle myself. Rpg maker is a huge pain to make things like that on, and I really want to fine tune it in the future!

I'm glad you're gonna check out the alternate ending!

Hoping to have the game up by the end of tomorrow! Crunch time!

Good luck everyone!!!

Thank you! It's not as polished as i'd like because of the time constraints, and this is my first game. But i think people will really enjoy it!
