The Historically Accurate Game Jam is a friendly video game-making competition with historical themes, generally taking place twice a year. In previous jams, we've covered themes such as the Famous Assassinations, Cold War, Your Country's History - and you get to vote for what comes next! Challenging yourself to make a game that has historically accurate roots can be surprisingly fun.

We're on the lookout for winning prizes for HAGJ12! Do reach out to us if you would like to be our next sponsor!

Join us on Discord if you would like to exchange ideas/thoughts on historical themes in games, or want to find teammates for the next HAGJ!

HISTORICALLY ACCURATE 11 EVENTS

12 Theme Suggestions were submitted during the Theme Suggestion Round (4th - 10th of July)  These ideas will be vetted and released during the next round.

46 people voted and picked two themes to vote for the final HAGJ11 theme - Viking/Norsemen - during the Final Voting Round (18th - 24th of July).  The theme was announced at the beginning of the submission period, signaling the start of the jam.

After the submission period ends (25th of July- 3rd of August), all participants of submitted games were encouraged to play, rate and leave constructive criticism for other HAGJ11 entries, gathering 83 reviews

The rating period ended on the 17th of August, and the results of the game jam were released the next day on the 18th of August. The winning entry, Monky Business received Discord community shoutouts and special roles!
