How does your game fit the theme?
Time acts as both hp meter and when it's up certain thresholds the player gain abilities
When the player ran out of time the “reality” changes or gameover depending on the current reality

Thanks for telling me the controls felt great probably 80% of the time we're adjusting that and gravity
Nice concept and little game😊! Also very neat that you use your own framework to make this game 💪!
GAMEPLAY
Good concept with the timers and the other realities when you die. I needed some practice before I could manage that mega jump very well. Especially in the underworld it is hard because you are upside down, but is also a nice challenge trying to manage it in time. Fun to play.
GRAPHICS/ART
Simple but effective and nice pixel art! Some extra effects would have been a nice bonus or some extra variation in environment and enemies.
AUDIO
A good 8-bit or frantic audio track would have fitted this game nicely. Maybe in an update or the next jam you will manage to add some extra audio/sound/
THEME
Nice idea with the changing realities and also with the timers. Checked the themes.
Overall a very nice little game. Keep up this good work💪!
ayo I appreciate the direct feedback <3
Was shocking when TDR got so high on the fun category
About the graphics, yeah they lacked (did you notice that there are no animations in the whole game? Everything is done through sin waves generated through a chronometer)
In fact the whole game suffered because of my poor time management, I do plan on updating it
Awesome little idea! I could see this becoming an awesome mobile game with a bit of polish and maybe procedural levels? I unfortunately got stuck on the same bit in both the overworld and hell, but the overall take on the theme was definitely awesome!
Here's some quick feedback I got while playing the game:
Overall though, awesome little game with a lot of potential! I'm extremely interested though, what engine / language did you use? I've never seen a jam game with all the assets bundled into the exe before!
I've recorded a quick video of the gameplay while I played your game, hopefully you might find it helpful to watch how someone else interacts with your game!
Hello, thanks for the feedback :)
watching your gameplay you had trouble moving while jumping, so you don't hit the top of another platform and trickshoting enemies (I also did run into those problems go figure) (maybe a coyoting there would help)
resizing was a recurrent request and the reason the game doesn't have that it is because the game was designed around the 800 by 600 resolution so big off there (I really didn't expect that would be a request at all)
i didn't know more games didn't asset bundle, the game uses Jgamer (my own framework) and Java so I just bundled the assets into the .jar (which was wrapped into a .exe) and java totally allows that
The game is an endless vertical run and shoot and a thing that I wanted to keep was the feeling of dread that each mess up would cause because you maybe could go back tens of floors, but that comes as a cost: memory, java is pretty memory intensive so the level switching is just me cleaning up some memory with out needing to do some crazy trade off, but while writting this i got an idea so i plan on updating this to include some things
anyway thx for playing and commenting
It's a really neat little game that I enjoyed playing! I just wish that it had fullscreen support and that the timers stopped adding so little as time went on because it just becomes impossible to complete even the first level.
it didn't pass by my had that i should increase the time of the colectibles thanks for the suggestion
Hi. I downloaded your game, but can't find the .exe. What folder is it in?
its supposed to be on your download folder
Figured out what was up. Most games have the .exe in a folder with the game's assets that needs to be unzipped, but your game was all contained within the .exe. I'm so used to having to unzip, I downloaded and unzipped the .exe without realizing what it was. Thanks. I'll go play the game now.
Haha this was a fun little game. I found that when I went to the other reality, I could move around before starting.
Wish it had some music in it :)
yeah i tried setting the engine to freezee when the tutorial is shown but that caused a heck of a ton of wacky problems, so i let it as is, about the music i also wished it had some, but i never put music on a game before and the deadline was getting closer (for whatever reason it shows 2 hours before the deadline whe nin reality i submmited about 30 minutes)
thanks for leaving a comment <3
The jam host extended the deadline a couple hours, so that might be why it says two hours instead of 30 minutes.
Finally got around to playing the game. I like how you incorporated the theme. The mechanics for the alternate Hell reality were neat, though I got a bit disoriented near the end. Sorry you had issues with music. Must have been really challenging making your own game framework and I could not imagine trying that myself. I often leave the music 'til last minute too and it can be really stressful finding the right track on short notice :)
