How does your game fit the theme?
The enemies in the game, mutant humans, come from an alternate reality through a portal (as explained in the prologue of the game).
Time is also money. And in this game money is power. So in other words, time is power!

Other things you want to share with the players of your game.
This game has gone through many iterations and is kind of a mash up of different mechanics. I recommend reading the how to play just to get an idea of what's actually going on, I barely even know haha!
Unfortunately it appears there is a bug on the final townhall which means you can't destroy it. If you make it that far, I'm afraid that's the end of the road!

I couldn't place more than one object; after that, when I pressed space it acted like I was pressing the ui buttons instead.
The game looks really nice though, and from what I've been hearing in this comments section, you put a lot of work into it.
Ah I completely forgot! Weird that you ran into it, hadn't heard anyone else with thay issue, but godot did that to me one time and I forgot to turn it off!
Sorry you didn't get to play more, glad you liked the look though! :)
Looks at clock... 1 hour has passed π!
GAMEPLAY
That was some hell of a job to pull this off in a weeks timeπ. I used to like the early Settlers games and this reminded me of it. Building and farming and attacking enemies. The pace is a bit slow at first but when you get more people it gradually speeds up and you can build faster and begin to attack. Very well worked out and a lot of game mechanics in this little game. Was fun to play and build and attack or just see those little folk run aroundπ.
GRAPHICS/ART
Simple pixel art and sometime difficult to recognize stuff, but it was a very coherent style and fitted all together. In 3D or 2.5D it would be even more amazing I think. Some extra effects during attack or build could be a nice polish in the future.
AUDIO
SFX were ok and menu music relaxing. But during the game I did not hear an audio background track. Is that correct? If so, such a relaxing background track during the game would make time fly by even fasterπ!
THEME
Alternate reality is checked and time is power also checked. Maybe could be some more but it is ok.
Overall very fun Settler's like kind of game to lose track of time. Well doneπͺ!
Thanks for the in depth feedback, glad you enjoyed it!
And of course thanks for the hosting the jam mate! π―

Really nice idea and fun gameplay. The pixel art looked really good too! I couldn't understand what my goal was, or what I needed to do at first. Maybe a tutorial would help. Overall good entry.
nice one man, love so much the pixel art x3, im not a very good player with this kind of games XD but i try it anyways. Liked so much, amazing work man x3
Thanks for checking it out! :)
This is a really unique entry! I never thought someone would make a whole semi-rts game. Something I would say is that the controls and audio could've been better, but other than that Phenomenal work!!!
Thanks a lot!
Definitely agree with the controls and audio, I can barely get the controls to work myself XD
The game was really confusing at first and took me some time to understand but after that it was a fun experience and it's a well polished game.
Cheers, glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Defintily really confusing, even I don't understand the controls half the time π!
The game is really polished, especially for a game jam and super fun to play! The mechanics were a bit confusing at first but after reading the game page I got the hang of it just fine. My only real criticism would be that the pacing is a bit slow for a game jam but that might just be me, nevertheless, it just goes to show how much content you managed to add in such a short time.
Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it!
Polished is never the description I thought I'd hear of this thing, but I'm glad you think so none the less π
i couldn't understand how to play, or what my aim was, maybe a better tutorial could help, good game overall. keep going!
Cheers mate! Yeah the game is a confusing mess of mechanics and you basically have to read the How To Play on the itch page to understand it unfortunately π
It looks quite interesting, unknowingly 30 minutes have passed. It's a very addictive game.
Haha that's what we like to hear!
Thanks for playing
I played for a bit longer than I should have...
There was one small thing that annoyed me - sometimes I lost my cursor, either because it was off screen or it was hidden among many buildings.
The graphics are very charismatic, would love to see a more complete and polished version of the game!
Love to here it, thanks!
I had actually planned on being able to control the cursor by clicking instead to solve that problem, but unfortunately isometric tiles were having none of it haha! If I get round to make a better version of it, might definitely take a look!
Haha thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed playing it!
I can't believe you managed to do all of that without upgrading anything though, that must have taken ages! Definitely a huge learning curve, having to read the entire How To Play on itch just to get a sense of what's going on is not a great example, but thanks for the kind feedback!
Will definitely think about working on it again in the future for sure, I think it would be more suited for a survival or so genre now instead of the "RTS"? like it has at the moment with the orcs and stuff to fight... But I could definitely see!
Ah no worries! The upgrading / fighting was definitely a bit complicated, the controlls needed a huge overhaul if I'd had got the chance to for sure!
It was really fun to build up an entire civilisation to see 99 people gathering and kicking the ennemies ass! I just couldn't destroy the ennemy town hall and the big walls after it :( Fun game! Good job!
Ah sorry to hear you ran into that bug too, looks like the town hall was 1 pixel off and it's broken the game, so you made it to the end as far as it goes XD
Glad you ahd a good time, thanks for checking it out!
game was overall pretty nice, a little confusing and the lack of music is a shame but except that it was pretty solid!
Thanks!
It's a little confusing for me so I can only imagine for all the poor sods playing for it haha, glad you liked it though!
I really like the town building simulator, the graphics are amazing, but i dont seem to be able to attack the enemy, maybe a bug? , though overall very nice game!
You should be able to attack the enemy buildings, walls, etc, but not the people directly... They'll attack you and get hurt in the process!
Glad you enjoyed the simulator aspect, it was the main focus of the game before I realised I needed more ocntent after all! Thanks for playing :)
The concept is really good.... however, the balance of the buildings is completely off. It's extremely easy to clear all the enemies.
Also I think there's a bug that doesn't allow the player to destroy the enemy town hall to get access to the ending.
Other than that, the graphics/music are all pretty solid.
The controls are indeed complicated but after a while you get the hang of it.
Glad you liked the concept!
The enemies were definitely a last miute addition so I'm not surprised they managed to break π . Thanks for pointing out the bug, it's probably just 1 pixel off annoyingly.
Thanks for playing!
