This is really kinda cool. Obviously its unfinished and janky, but the idea is solid and you got some really good mechanics in there. I'd probably play a fancier version of this game.
That was a nice little puzzel game combined with chemistry lesson ๐!
GAMEPLAY
Fun little puzzles. Nice to think on how to set yourself on fire or use the electric current. Funny movement for the sponge. The slide was a good extra option to use in the puzzles. Bit short, but I understand the time restraints. It was fun to play and solve the puzzles! Maybe an update can have more challenges.
GRAPHICS/ART
Simple graphics but they did the job. Some nice flame and electricity effects. Every thing had a clear shape and structure.
AUDIO
Unfortunate I could not hear any. That would have been a cool bonus. Sponge sound and fire and water sound effects for example.
THEME
The absorption of liquids was well done in this game.
Well done and fun little puzzles!๐ช
I really like the symplistic visuals but couldn't quite figure out how to get past the gate with a button(?) with an electricity sign next to it. Am I missing something?
Set fire to yourself, burn the wood.
Then soak yourself in water and block the flames; so a robot can pass through
Aah got it! This wasn't clear to me, spend 5 minutes walking around with no clue what to do, then gave up. Ill try again tonight and adjust my rating. Thanks for your reply :)
I liked how you implemented the theme and the squishy animation of the crawling felt satisfying. I like how you had to combine different abilities together to advance - this extra complexity could definitely make for some amazing new levels if you decide to put more time into this. My main criticism would be that the game was a little confusing at times about where to go and the lack of sound made it feel somewhat dull sometimes.
Overall, this was a good game and I enjoyed playing it.
Thanks for feedback, I definitely wanted to add sound; just not my forte :p
Solid entry! I like that you've used 3D. Something I still want to learn. Good mechanics and nice feedback to the player while you absorbed different things.
Solid entry!
Haha,
Glad you liked it,
I ended up spending 3 days on it as I got a bit busy with my uni starting again;
Might continue and a bit more charm to this project in the future :D
also your project is very nice :p
