How does your game tie into the theme?
The duck has a torch that is on a timer, the light around him is the only thing he can see, the rest is perpetual darkness. He must go around the dungeon and light torches to make progress

Congratulations on your first game! You did very well. The graphics are very charming but man, that death animation is just brutal. I don't like that you can just walk into the spikes and die. I think the game would be more enjoyable if you would only die from spikes when they appear underneath you or when your dash finishes on them.
Really fun game. The idle animation for the duck is so oddly satisfying and the different death animations were unexpected.
I think it's a great amount of difficult just enough to make you hate your stupid hands but also the right amount to keep trying.
Wow, another well-polished game: graphically especially! The boss was intense, though. And going diagonally without dying is difficult at some parts of the game.
This was amazing. I have actually played it several times over the last few days trying to beat my previous runs. This definitely lives up to its namesake in terms of perceived difficulty, and just like a souls game some things become trivial as you learn the mechanics behind them. Job very well done!
Your dedication to our game is very cool and appreciated! Thanks for the nice words!!
After waiting to play, I can finally say: it's good :)
I liked the art and exploring the levels. The atmosphere is also very good. The only thing I didn't like that much were the sniper ducks. They seemed a out of place given the rest of the game's vibes (and they are OP). A simple menu would be a welcome addition next time as well.
All of that being said, and considering it's your first entry for GWJ, this is a very solid and fun game, good job
Thanks very much, that means a lot to us! It's funny to hear something that seems obvious but we completely didn't notice when making (the sniper ducks being out of place with the vibe).
I can't run the Linux files :(
Sorry! I’ll fix it if I’m allowed to 😅
Try opening a ticket for gamebreaking bugs, the organizers are very reasonable. I'm really looking forward to playing your game!

LET'S GOOOOOOOOO
Incredible game, especially for your first! And it lives up the souls name, very difficult.
Finally won with 194 deaths... yikes.
Love the graphics, especially the death animations.
The sound was excellent although the final music felt odd a more epic/fantasy themed tune might have been better.
Love the gameplay and how you build on the different elements, would have shifted the third level back as it was harder then some of the later ones. The range of vision with the light and traps being around each corner worked very well.
The final boss fight was very tough and very rewarding with the finish him scene.
The only two complaints I have are:
1. The hit box on the duck was too big and should have been different sizes for different traps, for instance the spikes should just be feet, the pits should be a very small dot, the fire could be larger.
2. Some of the "attacks" from the boss were too difficult when paired with others - such as the mass of spike traps if there is anything chasing you it is just impossible - in fact I don't think I ever dodged them when fireballs/others were around - the idea is great just needs some tweaking (make a smaller number of spike traps appear)
Overall this was a great game one of the best I have played through all the Godot Wild Jams I have been a part of.
Thank you for your kind words, that really means a lot to us. The complaints I completely agree with haha, the boss could've been less rng, and your idea about different hitboxes is great, we'll definitely use that in future games.
The game look really fun but unfortunately it kept crashing on my computer :'( i'm on windows.
I watched the video thought and it was nice !
So sorry to hear that, if you're still interested in playing it, after the jam I'll upload a html browser version
Yes I would love to complete the game ;) Thank you !

I wish there was a web build playable in the browser!
Ah sry, I didn't realise so many people preferred the game in the browser!
A cool idea but i found the game kinda hard
Really enjoyed this, thank you for putting checkpoints in
