This was great. The stock images gave it an almost unhinged magazine-clipping ransom note kind of vibe, but more wacky/surreal than scary. Really nicely done.

I liked the frogs throughout, which kind of helped add a sense a purpose/cohesiveness to the process. I also thought you did a great job with the colliders and maintaining sensible boundaries without always sticking to hard lines in the images.

Honestly, I think my only complaints were the awkwardness of jumping (not terrible, but could be better) and the fact that there wasn’t a crazy animation or ostensibly profound ending to cap everything often after going into the sun.

Great job!

Thank you!! I spent quite a bit of time cutting all those frogs out of their backgrounds (and kept finding new cool poses), but I knew I wanted some small form of "guide" throughout the randomness, so I'm very happy to hear this landed with you.

I can only agree with your complaints. After working on it throughout the jam I was definitely more comfortable with the jump than anyone would be trying it out first time, and I think I probably should've at least lowered the gravity on the little bug just to make it more forgiving. And maybe rather than a wacky secret room, I could've just made that the win screen. But so we learn!

Really appreciate your feedback, thanks again!

This game is like a psychedelic, bizarre dream, I love the graphic style! It looks you used some random stock images and that's what really gives a unique touch to the game. The jump is a bit hard to do (or hard to master should I say?) but overall I liked your game and its ambience. Couldn't finish it tho, went to the left side but ended up stuck because I couldn't reach the girl reading a book (on the right side) when I guess you're supposed to go there at some point... just couldn't figure out how to but that's on my side for being a noob!

Thank you very much! I did indeed go pretty much random with the pictures. I had a massive collage of usable images at the start of the week, but of course I soon had to scale it down quite a bit, and just pick the ones I'd be able to stitch together without too much editing.

And yes, you need to visit the girl in the book to be able to progress in the forest on the left side, but it's definitely a bit tricky. In case you want to try again, you can make your way across the dancers and the shoreline to get back through the desert on a lower level. It may involve a few more finicky jumps though :)

Thanks again for your kind words!

Man, what an adventure! The sound design is fantastic--from the rumbling winds as you pass through the desert to the cheers of the celebrating crowd, it really pulls you into this strange and vibrant world. I love how the whole world is all connected and you sort of move through different biomes within it. I think my brain exploded when I realized the room the pillbug starts out in was just a painting... it really makes you question what is real.

Surreal and exciting, excellent work!!

Thank you so much!! I was a little worried I'd gone too random with the pictures and ambience but I'm very happy to hear it's resonating with some players! I really enjoy working with stock footage and I very much want to expand on these ideas. Your kind words are very motivating, thanks again!

Hey absolutely! You've got a really unique and compelling style, I hope you're able to make more experiences like this!!

Very unique game. Really interesting choice for the art that built a surreal experience. I think the atmosphere you created was really unique, and I enjoyed it. :) It was very difficult to control, but I managed to get to the water fall/river with all the rocks. From there I was extremely stuck.

Thanks a lot for playing! I definitely think I got a little too comfortable bouncing around pictures without considering how it'd be for a new player. There's two things to collect in the level, which would enable you to fly up at the waterfall, if you're still curious. Or if you meant you fell down into the rocks/pools below, yeah that little section is very difficult to get out and I probably could've left it out. Thanks again though!

I did not realize there was something to collect that would help me fly. If I have time I might try again!

Incredibly weird and interesting game! Very abstract while still having a very concrete purpose. Conceptually I loved figuring out how to get around the map and stuff, very cool!

Thank you so much! I didn't think I'd end up with this when I wanted to make a terrarium-based pinball game, but I'm pretty happy I did. I'm a little worried I got too comfortable with the controls and concept without considering how to drop players into it, so very glad you enjoyed it!
