Game Description
Discover the tunes of forgotten isomorphic musical designs through a guided interface.
How does your game tie into the theme?
The game features a "forgotten" musical instrument design knowledge - isomorphic layout which is designed so the same finger pattern can play the same type of chord or musical interval anywhere on the instrument, making it easier to learn and more versatile for playing.

This is very cool, super impressed with the generative music aspect of it, and the game feels polished in appearance as well. Playing is pretty simple, which made it easy to get started and intuitively understand how the game works after only a few seconds of playing.
One thing I would have liked is a way to feel like I was doing more than just randomly deciding to switch the shape of the cursor - maybe this could be helped by showing the possible cursors (and currently selected cursor) somewhere on the screen? Especially since the time pressure is on, I think having that information readily available would give the player a bit more agency over their score.
Overall this is a very cool concept, and as someone who knows very little about music theory it’s amazing to me that a game like this is even possible. Awesome work!
The music is great, but I must be weird, because I found the gameplay a bit stressful.
I still had fun, but was quite lost after the tutorial screen with the values passed by. Maybe they could pop up and hover slightly from chosen notes after they’re played? That would have helped me a lot my first playthrough.
I love the aesthetic too, simple but elegant.
Overall, this is a great entry. Well done!
Never has calming harp been so stressful :D
I had fun with this, cool how you made the chord less harmonic when I messed up.
Did you work with probability tables? Like after Cmaj7, 50% chance of Am7 etc?
I listened to a podcast, Game maker's notebook, an interview with Chance Thomas who explained a very advanced system he made with different moods that used different tables to set up chord progression. Quite interresting.
Did you have one bar per file and play next on callback from audioplayer?
Cool entry, very nice!
This was an enjoyable experience! The mechanics were easy to understand and the music created a nice and relaxing atmosphere.
This is really creative!
Does this actually uses real scales, notes, chords, and progressions? It feels like it.
oh my, this is impressive on so many levels. this was really pleasant to play, challenging in a very non-stressful and soothing way. and the procedural aspect of it absolutely blows my mind! wow! :)
high score: 491 on insane
Very interesting!
Wow. I should have played that yesterday already. So relaxing and peaceful and enjoyable! I was not really understanding the score, maybe some more explanations when I get more and less points. I really loved this unique gameplay and something completely different and chill. Good Job!
This was so engaging! The music was nice, and the puzzle was unique :)
Lovely entry! Really cool mechanic with controlling the different shapes and moving around. Nice job!
