Very fun to play!

Bouncy laser is so fun idea, pickable upgrades as well.

Developer

Thanks! I originally wanted to do a grappling hook, but that had some... complications!

Glad you enjoyed the game!

I'm a little sad there are not many opportunities to use the bouncy laser, because it feels so good to use! And I found the balance between the multiple jumps and the heating mechanic pretty interesting.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I think level design fell to the wayside a bit to be honest, I did most of it on the last day or so haha, so the bouncy laser wasn't really used much, I just ended up introducing it, and then introducing the jumps, and then making some slightly more involved levels.

Maybe in hindsight, could have focused more on that or the jump boots, rather than trying to do both, but I'm glad to hear it feels good to use!

I like your art and music. They are really good. Cool game!

Developer

Thanks for the compliments, I direct them to boiman, he did a great job with the art, and the music after hearing it tons of times during development is still stuck in my head haha!

Developer

Feels really good to hear that. Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed our game!

Fun usage of the assembly as parts that evolves gameplay. And I liked how the duck starts to become red when its close to overheating

Developer

Thanks! I was really proud of figuring out how to do the gradient for overheating, because a lot of player's found it hard to know when you were overheating haha!

Thank you for your kind words!

Ducks! Way to go! :)

Interesting idea with items and how you introduce them!

Sometimes it's a bit challenging!

Well done!

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words! Despite the few levels, we tried to have them progress as gradually as possible!

Felt smooth to play! Nice heating/cooldown mechanism. I didn't quite understand what gave me passage to next level. And would have loved some more levels with double jumps and stuff :)

Well done, congratulations on first GWJ submission!

Thanks for playing! I appreciate the kind comments and feedback!

The requirement for progressing to the next level was defeating all enemies, but I think that fact could have been made more clear, so I appreciate that comment about being confused!

Perhaps next time, we could have added like a change in effect for the door when you can enter it, or something similar (have it glow or change color)

Thanks again so much for the feedback!

Very fun platformer! I liked that you introduced each mechanic progressively! It allowed me to have more fun later in the game. I would've hoped to have a character that's more visible, but it didn't hinder the fun factor! Good game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We tried very hard to even with a small game, follow a good gradual introduction of mechanics to not overwhelm or confuse the player, so glad to see those efforts noticed!

Yeah I think the character was in the back of my mind a bit hard to see sometimes, I'm not sure if we just needed a thicker outline, or maybe brighter/more saturated colors, but definitely something to look into.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Heyo, artist and musician for the game here. I do agree that the characters are kinda small for the screen size, I plan to be more conscious of that kind of thing going forward. Thank you so much for playing the game, and thank you for the useful feedback!
