I wasn't going to touch this project ever again after submitting, but now I'm thinking about whether it is a good idea to expand it and transform it into an actual game (along with making it less boring). What do you think?

Congrats on submitting!

I liked it :)

It was a bit too slow, but the chose between mana left and enemies on the screen was nice.

I think it's the start of a cool concept. I personally would like it more if it was faster paced. Just kinda up-ing the timescale on everything, the mana recharge, the spawn rate, etc.

Interesting concept of sort of Space-Invaders with additional tasks (i.e., destroying the pylons). I think you could pull a lot more out of this idea and make a good little game from it. The trail effects on the Bypassers are really quite good. The gameplay is slow, as others stated, which isn't always a bad thing - though by the time I was able to upgrade mana, I was already constantly needing to use mana to keep mooks at bay. The only way I upgraded was by purposely letting them hit me.

Hopefully you keep working on this sort of thing - the art and atmosphere is top-notch and the upgrades were interesting.

I really liked the game. When you play it longer it will get really challenging and sometimes it was sooo close. Good job on the art. The only things could change, that its faster so it will get faster hard and add maybe add music next time ( the music and the sfx aere really missing)

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! My only excuse for the lack of sound/music is I have no experience making/implementing them, and I was too tired to learn lol

Yeah, we also dont have much expierence on this topic so we just teamed up with an sfx and an music artist and it turned out great . :)

I like the vibe the artstyle gives. I dont know if preloading the attacks would help with the freeze on spawn. A bit more enemies and faster movement could help with gameflow too.

Developer

I noticed the freeze too, and it could be from the preloads yeah, though I didnt expect it to have such an impact. Its a html export so I guess it makes sense. Thanks for the feedback!
