Fun foundation!
The card-like images of the choices makes me think it could be a fun deckbuilder where you can 'equip' different choices via upgrades or something over different runs.
Simple but cool game. Unfortunately ,the highscores doesn't submit or even loads :/
Really nice concept and aplication! Congratulations!
Eh, I need more cards! Great idea, it was fun to play. I liked the orange dude.
I reached 95 km, but the leaderboard did not load.
Fun concept! Great work for your first Godot Wild Jam! We played and got to 63 km and 90ish km. Some more variety would help, and a little more control could go a long way.
had quite a bit of fun playing this, really cool idea, would be great if one day was taken further into a proper game
Thank you! We were thinking about making it a proper game if people liked it. We have a lot more ideas that can be added to the game.
I love the little orange dude! I do wish there were some way to try to avoid the rocks/caves, maybe something like radar? By the way, it looks like the high score isn't working properly in the browser version; I got the following error in the console:
index.js:9 Mixed Content: The page at 'https://atebahpla.itch.io/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure resource 'http://90.231.78.221:8081/highScore'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.
Side question: the guy finds resources underground and... cooks them... what exactly is he eating? o.o
Thank you! We had plans for more freedom, where you could drill in different directions and such, but had to cut that feature due to the short time span. The radar is a great idea :).
Yes, we noticed that there was a issue with the high score after submitting to itch, the downloadable versions, and when running html version directly from Godot, seems to be working. Looks like a ssl certificate issue when running the game directly from itch.
As for the food... well... I suppose since the little orange dude is not human, human food is not required :p.
